Chapter 69: Interlude at Little Garden
On an island in the first half of the Grand Line, a place known as Little Garden, ancient creatures like dinosaurs continue to exist in their original forms. This island was once the battleground for a relentless duel that lasted over a hundred years, involving two giant pirate captains who shook the world: Brogy, the Red Ogre, and Dorry, the Blue Ogre. They had fought over 70,000 battles on this island.
However, the proud duel of these mighty giants was tainted by the scheming of Mr. 3, who was after the bounty. This led to a fierce battle between the Straw Hat Pirates, incensed by this disrespect, and Mr. 3's group.
Zoro, Nami, and Vivi were captured and about to be turned into living wax statues by Mr. 3's Doru Doru no Mi powers, along with the fallen giants. Meanwhile, Luffy, Usopp, Carue, Mr. 3, Miss Goldenweek, Mr. 5, and Miss Valentine were engaged in combat, with Luffy and Usopp struggling due to being outnumbered.
Although Mr. 3 managed to use his ability to temporarily blow away his opponents, Luffy became trapped by Miss Goldenweek's Color Trap and was unable to save Zoro and the others. Usopp and Carue were desperately evading attacks from Mr. 5's pair.
Suddenly, before the original storyline, Mr. 3 returned to the battlefield. Luffy was still immobilized by the Color Trap. Just as Zoro and the others were about to be completely enveloped in wax, a massive cudgel swung horizontally, destroying the Candle Service Set. Mr. 3's expression was filled with astonishment.
"...Wha, what?! A new giant!?"
Appearing before them were two enraged giant warriors, Oimo and Kashi, who carried Usopp and Carue on their palms. They had heard the story from the humans and were furious that Mr. 3 had tainted the sacred duel of their respected leaders. Oimo and Kashi had become incredibly powerful in the past few years under the guidance of Spandam, the chief of Enies Lobby, who occasionally trained them.
With a fierce determination, Oimo and Kashi wielded their weapons and vowed to bring punishment to those who had defiled the duel.
"Oh, it's Brogy's head! It's Oimo and Kashi!!"
"Wait a moment, Brogy's head, Dorry's head... We'll be the ones to punish the fools who tarnished your honorable duel!"
Oimo and Kashi's anger-filled voices reverberated as they prepared to take action.
As the giants prepared to confront Mr. 3, Luffy, freed from the Color Trap by Usopp's intervention, shouted to halt their advance.
"Leave this guy to me. I've already decided I'm gonna knock him out. Don't get in my way."
"I see, the eyes of a warrior. If warriors are already in battle, we can't interfere."
"Got it. We'll tend to the heads. So make sure the fools who tainted their duel receive the punishment they deserve."
"Yes! We won't forgive anyone who tarnishes a duel!"
Oimo and Kashi were initially puzzled by Luffy's statement but upon seeing the determination in his eyes, they decided to leave Mr. 3 to him. They then focused on treating the wounded Dorry and Brogy, intending to mete out appropriate punishment to those who disrespected their duel.

Mr. 3 was defeated by Luffy, and Dorry, who I thought had been cut and killed by Brogy, managed to survive due to the deterioration of their weapons after their 100-year-long battle.
Tears of joy streaming down his face, Brogy hugged Dorry.
"You managed to survive, my dear friend! Gaba bababa!"
"Gegyagyagya..."
Even after a hundred years of continuous dueling, their friendship remained unchanged, and they shared a brief moment of joy and tears before they were stopped by Oimo and Kashi, who intervened to prevent them from starting another fight.
"Settle down, you two."
"Huh? Who's this? Could it be... Oimo and Kashi?"
Dorry, who had been unconscious and unaware of Oimo and Kashi's presence, expressed surprise. Oimo and Kashi then explained the situation while tending to Dorry and Brogy's injuries.
Later, Sanji, who had joined Luffy's group, revealed that he had acquired the Eternal Pose to Alabasta. Since they were in a hurry to head to Alabasta, they quickly set sail. During this time, Oimo and Kashi approached Luffy's group.
"...We owe you a debt for fighting to protect our leaders' honor. So, we have some advice for you."
"If you encounter the chief of Enies Lobby, a judicial island, during your journey, never engage in a fight."
"Enies Lobby? Chief? What's that?"
"We can't provide all the details. We owe that person as well, so we can't divulge too much information. Just remember never to fight them."
Oimo and Kashi's serious words resonated with the Straw Hat crew, and their expressions grew more determined.
"It's not like we think you guys are weak. If anything, we consider you stronger than us. But still... that person is on a completely different level."
"Even if all of you were to attack together, you'd be wiped out in less than a second. That person is overwhelmingly powerful, far more than anyone we've ever known."

Dorry asked with a solemn expression. Oimo and Kashi nodded earnestly.
"Yes, we can't lie as warriors of Elbaf. We believe even our leaders wouldn't stand a chance against the chief."
"Gegyagyagya, that's quite something!"
"Gaba bababa! To think a monster like that was born in the hundred years we were away!"
Although it was an astonishing tale, Dorry and Brogy found truth in Oimo and Kashi's words, spoken with seriousness. They laughed in a cheerful manner.
After sharing a smile with Oimo and Kashi, they turned back to Luffy's group.
"...He's generally gentle people. He won't attack you just because you're pirates."
"However, if you become his enemy, he won't show any mercy. Never make an enemy out of him."
These serious words were etched into the hearts of Luffy and his crew. They wouldn't hear of this again until much later, after they had added an archaeologist to their ranks.

Dorry and Brogy, having defeated the massive island-eating fish known as the "Island Eater" with their mightiest spear, the "Hakoku," and bid farewell to the Straw Hat Pirates, engaged in conversation while enjoying the sake brought by Oimo and Kashi.
"Gaba bababa, today is a wonderful day! We've seen off a new friend and reunited with old companions! Thanks to the gods of Elbaf!!"
"Gegyagyagya, the sake is indeed delicious. It would've been even better if our stomachs weren't burned... So, Oimo, Kashi, what are your plans now?"
"Yeah, if the duel between our leaders is ongoing, we won't interfere. We've decided to return to Enies Lobby."
"Being deceived by the World Government infuriates me, but the chief has treated us well, and we feel indebted, including for this incident. We intend to repay that favor by continuing to serve as gatekeepers for a while."
If Dorry and Brogy's duel had concluded, they initially planned to briefly visit Enies Lobby, greet Spandam, and then return to Elbaf together. However, if the duel was still ongoing, it changed the situation.
For Elbaf warriors, a duel is a sacred event, and Oimo and Kashi, who understand this, have no intention of interfering until a victor is decided between the two combatants.
Considering their debt to Spandam and waiting for the day when the duel concludes, they planned to remain gatekeepers at Enies Lobby for a while longer.
"That's right, proud warriors of Elbaf must never forget their debts. Repay the favor you've received through hard work."
"Understood!"
As Brogy spoke, Oimo and Kashi replied, and just as they did, the central volcano on the island erupted. It also served as a signal that Dorry and Brogy's duel was about to begin.
"Oh, the central mountain! Let's settle this, Dorry!"
"Yeah, let's go, Brogy!"
"Leaders, we'll make sure not to get in the way. Your weapons are broken, right? We'll leave ours behind for you to use."
"Whoa! Until we meet again!"
"We'll definitely reunite!"
Handing over their respective weapons to Dorry and Brogy and promising to meet again in the future, Oimo and Kashi returned to Enies Lobby with smiles on their faces.
