Chapter 7: the curse
Jade still sat on the edge of her bed while staring at space, she had planned to leave the city in the afternoon and if she would not get the governess job, she would look for a place to stay before she could start looking for work. Getting up, she walked to her word robe and started to look for the clothes she could wear for the journey.

Alvin casually leaned against the wall in the attic , his one leg folded where his foot rested on the wall. He still couldn't get his mind off the girl he had kidnapped without even hiding his teleportation power. Her scent was still fresh in his mind and it almost drove him insane. If only his butler had gotten all the information he needed to know about the girl, he would have already gone there and claim her to be his.
Even after hearing his butler approaching, he didn't move even an inch. "Your highness." the Butler spoke to the man who held a bored look. "Speak." Those were Alvin's words who didn't even turn around to look at the butler. "Jade Carson used to live in the west with her father before she came to Avianna together with her friend After her father died. After relocating, they are now living with a woman called Flora Lowrence who took them in. She's now working as a teacher at the royal school. That is all I got to find out." The butler said dutifully.
Finally placing his leg on the ground, Alvin turned around to look at the butler. "Where does she live? that is the first thing you should have told me before giving me the rest of the information Albert." He said as he put his right hand in the pocket of his slacks. It was his first time to feel very intrigued by a girl and he felt as if his feelings were turning into obsession.
"Alvin, are you sure this is what you want?" Albert asked as he looked at the king. Though he had lived in the palace as a butler, he knew everything about Alvin since he was the one who helped him until he became the king. "Albert, I am absolutely sure about what I want. Starting tomorrow, she will start living here." Alvin said with finality but before he could leave, Albert's words stopped him on his trucks.
"Have you forgotten about the curse? You killed a person from the royal family Alvin. Your mate will die as a punishment. I don't want to see you suffering because of love. Just avoid her it will be the best for the both of you Alv....." "NO! that can't happen, I found her after decades of waiting. You can't understand how I feel right now Albert, my self control is slipping out of me right now. Just don't tell me to avoid her because that won't work." Alvin said with finality.
"Both you and I know very well what will happen. Do you know the kind of life you will have once she dies?" Albert asked. He was there when Alvin lost his mother and he had seen how miserable he had turned out to be. What will happen when he loses his mate?! He asked himself. "If she dies, then I'll die with her and let's not talk about this because nothing is going to change my mind." Alvin said decisively and walked away leaving the butler behind.

Alvin did not show up at the table during dinner which made everyone at the table wonder what type of emergency that made the king to skip his meal. "Angela, the duke's daughter who had been invited by the queen was the one who asked the butler if the king was alright but as usual the butler's answer was a very brief one that irritated the young woman. Angela Wilson was the only daughter of duke Wilson and she grew up knowing that she could have whatever she wanted, ever since she met the king, she always tried to find ways to please him but he always embarrassed her even in front of everyone.
Angela who had come all the way to visit the king couldn't believe that the king didn't even join them for dinner and immediately the dinner ended, She walked to the king's quarters. Alvin who was slowly sipping wine while savouring it's taste heard his guard knocking the door. "Your highness, lady Angela is here and she says that she wants to talk to you." The guard said after the king opened the door. Alvin only nodded his head, and as if the lady was waiting for that approval she proudly walked into the room and the guard closed the door.
"Speak while I am still patient." Alvin said authoritavely that had the girl smile awkwardly. "I...Actually...I came to check if you are doing okay your highness since you did not join us for supper." Angela replied while stuttering. She could feel the tension that was in the room but she tried her best to ignore it.
"I'm not dead, so it means I'm alright. So stop acting all concerned because it doesn't suit you. Was that all you came here for?" He asked as he twirled the wine he was drinking. "Why are you always mean to me milord? Even aftér I told you that I was in love with you, you still insult me as if I am a nobody." Angela said as she walked closer to Alvin who didn't stop her. "It's because I know that lust and greed for power is what you are after." And with those words,Alvin pushed Angela onto his large bed. "Today, I'll give you what you want." He said and pulled up her dress because he didn't have time to remove her skirt and all the other clothes she wore. Angela who was all surprised and excited at the same time did not even try to stop his actions.
Alvin took hold of both her hands singlehandedly and put them above her head. Without any hesitation he positioned his manhood onto Angela's throbbing core. With one swift push, he was already inside her. As he continued to get deeper while closing his eyes, Jade's face kept appearing in his mind until he finally released himself.
Angela who had just reached her peak thought that she could stick around the king's quarters but the king didn't even give her time to recover from their activity. He dismissed her as if nothing had happened between them.
