Jade tried to guage the man's expressions but they were unreadable. Why would he come to ask for directions in the ladies' bathrooms? She asked herself. "l asked a question milady." Alvin's words brought Jade into her senses and she was quick to answer."Tell that man to direct you, he is the one who shows the visitors around....and next time, don't come to the ladies bathrooms to ask for directions." She replied with a small smile that didn't seem to be genuine while pointing a man who was holding a long broom.
Alvin had planned to look around and get the information that he needed as quickly as he could but now that he saw a ray of light in his dull life he didn't want it to disappear. She was as beautiful as he had seen her from afar. Those large black eyes and the pink lips that were slightly parted as if they were inviting him to kiss drove him to the edge. That very moment, he grabbed Jade's hand and they vanished.
Out of fear, Jade had closed her eyes but when she opened them, she saw that they were in the middle of a forest that she had never seen before. "Where was she?!" She thought as she tried to force words out of her mouth. "Ple....please don't kill me.." Jade stuttered. She had never created enmity with anyone so why would he want to kill her!
"That should be the least of your problems milady. I brought you here so that I can see you properly. I couldn't have a better view of you because I knew if I could come any closer to you, you'd run away and I don't like it when things...or people slip out of my grip." Alvin said as he loosened his grip on her wrist.
"Let go of my hand!" Jade demanded with a glare but that didn't lower Alvin's smile. "I don't want to let go, I just found you."Alvin replied as he looked at jade with intensity that was overbearing to her. And as if his eyes had trapped her own eyes, she just couldn't look away.
After some seconds, Jade quickly averted her gaze and then slowly turned to look up at him again . "You are a devil!" Jade said with fear, how else would one explain on how they teleported from school into the middle of nowhere. Alvin's smile didn't falter even after hearing Jade call him a devil. He was used to it after all, Most people who died through his hands called him that before he would torture them until their souls couldn't take it anymore. but that was a different case when it came to Jade. He didn't want to kill her; He wanted to keep her in his own cage and make sure that no one else would see her apart from him. He would do that in no time but not now because he could see the fear that was in those beautiful eyes.
"I can't call myself an Angel, because I have never tried to be one. But you can become my angel sweet girl. So, will you do that?" He asked as he reduced the distance that Jade had created. When Jade tried to move back, she hit the bark of a tree and Alvin moved even closer until their lips were a few inches apart.
Jade was sure she was going to die. If not for this devil killing her, then she would die out of fear and embarrassment that she was feeling at that moment. " Be my angel Jade." He whispered near her lips and those words brought goosebumps on her whole body. Was it because she was confused on how he came to know her name, or was it because of those words that came out of his mouth? Jade couldn't comprehend.
Looking at her, Alvin could see her delicate pink lips shivering and he had the urge to kiss them but he tried to control himself. "What was this girl doing to him!" He thought and stepped away from her so that she could breath. Jade who had not realized that she had not been breathing heaved with a heavy sigh when the strange devil stepped away from her. How she wished that this was just a bad dream and that she would wake up and forget all about it.
"Please just let me go my sister might be looking for me already and I also don't want to lose my job. PLEASE, you'll get your angel but that's definitely not me. I'm just a human who wants nothing but a peaceful life." Jade pleaded and at last the man accepted to take her back to school, but his last words shocked her.
"Alright, I'll take you back to your school, but this will not be the last time I'll get to see you because you are mine and I'm not going to let you go NO MATTER WHAT." After saying those words, Alvin took jade's hand and within a blink of an eye, they were back to school at the very place they were. When Alvin let go of her hand, Jade held the hem of her dress and took off as fast as she could. When she turned around, Alvin had already vanished as if he didn't exist at all.
"Jade where have you been? I came looking for you but you were not in the bathroom." Lydia who seemed to be very worried asked. "You look as if you have seen a ghost. What happened to you? You didn't even straighten your hair." She continued. "I didn't see a ghost I saw the devil." Jade muttered but Lydia didn't get what she said.
"Anyway let's go, the lessons are about to start. You will make your hair during the break. It doesn't look that bad as you claimed." Lydia said as they made way towards the classes. "Have the guests arrived?" Jade asked, she did not want to look bad in front of the guests. "Actually, we were told that they couldn't make it today, they'll probably come some other day." Lydia replied as they parted way and headed towards their respective classes.
