(POV Akira Oono)

The year is 20XX in the Empire calendar.

The nation known as the Empire, which now held most of the world under its control, began a heinous game. To solidify its oppression of the nations it had conquered, and to stop any possibility of revolutions, the Empire grandly staged a cruel spectacle.

The spectacle, which could only be described as pure madness, was a fight to the death made up of randomly selected players from every nation under the control of the Empire, with only one survivor.

The Empire broadcast this game around the world, organizing an official kill party.

Who would survive to the end? Who would be the last killer? Who would be killed first? The cruel but vibrantly real spectacle had transcended cinema and other forms of fiction.

Captured the hearts of the citizens of the Empire

The game, broadcast around the world, depicted countless dramas and tragedies. Viewers witnessed humanity at its core: participants killing strangers just to stay alive. The game went by many names: The Human Race, The Game of Life, The Fable of the Onion... The exorbitant amount of bets poured into the game by the world's bored 1% eventually became a vital income for the Empire. The citizens of the world awaited the selection process with fear, and the people of God entertained themselves in a stupor of madness. The infinite game. The sole survivor of each game was awarded immeasurable wealth...and the privilege of joining the ranks of God's people. All the other contestants, however, were awarded death. Without exception.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

( Japan, December 10, 2016 )

"I remember this event…"

Now, a man is involved in the same terrifying game. Just without a trace of cowardice or fear on his face.

His name was Akira Ono... A perfectly normal and hard-working guy.

Akira knew this place like the back of his hand: he was the man running the game. There was nothing to fear when she knew every inch of the arena. Also, everything was inside a computer screen. None of that would affect reality.

"This hobby lasted longer than I thought…"

I whisper weakly, with a hint of longing.

This video game started in 2001, at the beginning of the internet renaissance. The current year was 2016. The passing of fifteen years had branded this game as an antique from a bygone time.

And today, the curtains were about to close. Typing on the keyboard or moving his mouse from time to time, Akira flipped through various screens.

It seemed to have no particular purpose for doing this, except to try to keep everything in sight in memory.

"...It's almost midnight."

Normally, that was when the Game would start. But Akira was the only one in the arena right now. At midnight, the servers would expire, destroying the arena. He had chosen a solitary farewell, instead of a festive one.

"Fifteen years was too long... and yet it flew by..."

A game that survived the education of some children was extravagant. In fact, those of us kids who were in high school when the game was released are now proud members of the workforce.

"Some are now married...".

He said those words with regret.

Some were now parents. Some have moved abroad.

Each of them had lost free time as they acquired responsibilities.

In a sense, they had lived healthy lives.

Akira was no exception either. He used to get lost modifying the game however he wanted, staying up all night to run it. Through the years, Akira climbed the ladder, until most of his life was taken up by his work.

"Where to go next...?"

He logged in as the character that could be considered the final boss of the game and on the other computer with a rebel, and wandered through various maps until his time was almost up.

... Each place has a special meaning for him, it was all his creation that he spent hours deciding and analyzing until the current result.

I look at my watch to see how much is left {23:58:20}.

"Thanks for everything"

Akira speaks with his creation, with his life, with 15 years embodied in data.

{23:59:50}

{23:59:57}

{13:59:59}

Akira Oono pressed the close button.

.

Hiroshi closed his eyes with a thousand thoughts spinning behind them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

{00:00:00}

Suddenly I feel as if an invisible force is pulling him into a distant winepress for an infinite time at an infinite distance.

I feel like there's someone watching and copying something from him and then leaving,

Then came a great drowsiness.

.

.

.

( Maou-sama, Retry! , World ).

When he opened them again...he saw the Great Forest in front of him.

"That...?"

Akira Oono fell speechless looking at the vast expanse of the forest. He couldn't help but laugh at such a spectacle. Sure, his fifteen-year hobby was coming to an end, and he'd been drinking a bit, but not enough to hallucinate being thrown into the Great Forest.

More importantly, he had to go to work the next day.

"The Great Forest is really…"

The bright, green forest almost stung her eyes. She would have appreciated being reminded of nature's majesty in the midst of her everyday life, but she had tomorrow to worry about. If you were to sleep all night in front of the PC monitor again, you would certainly be sore and miserable the next day.

(Author: We are already two).

"However, such a vivid dream. It almost looks real..."

Closing his eyes, he could feel the rays of the sun and hear the dragonflies and cicadas flying around him. Looking into the distance, he could even see a sparkling lake. Akira smiled, remembering that he had heard the phrase "dreams are reflections of wishes" somewhere. Perhaps her subconscious mind longed for a leisurely walk in the woods, away from all the stress.

As he stepped forward in the direction of the lake, a drop of cold sweat trickled down his back.

"Because it feels different, besides what I'm wearing"

A loose coat on his back, with white pants and black boots, tied with black rope, all strangely familiar.

"It just can't be..."

For some time now, her heart had been pounding nervously.

When he ran towards the lake, he was through the forest in an instant. Fast as a bullet train. The incredible speed made Akira only more nervous. As soon as he looked down into the water to see himself…his fear was confirmed.

"What the...?! What am I?!"

Akira saw in the reflection a young man probably the same age as him, but healthier besides white hair adorning his head, a white coat around his neck along with 3 or 4 gold necklaces and a large pants held with a rope or maybe a black belt that exuded the air of someone strong the coat had the words "Unmatched under heaven", "First class fighter", "The strongest in the world" written in Japanese characters but none of this It was what surprised him but.

"Because I'm Zero Kirisame??!!!"

No, it was the fact that this most unusual character was one of his creations.

Zero was a character that he created 10 years ago to play a gallant bandit, according to the story Zero felt a great repulsion for injustices and could not ignore when the strong abuse the weak, therefore he was a sworn enemy of the Empire and he hated Haruto Kunai, another curious fact is that he was shy with women.

Akira was confused, besides that he doesn't dislike being younger, this situation didn't make sense.

Also, his other senses weren't helping to convince Akira that this was all a dream.

It was all very real.

What crossed his mind was that he had been transported to another world, just like the popular anime nowadays.

The only other theory he could muster was that he was already dead of a heart attack or something, and that he was in the afterlife.

Even that theory, however, didn't explain why he resembled the Avatar that Zero was.

"W-Wait… Calm down. It's not over until it's over."

Akira frantically slapped his cheeks and head to no avail. Every time he took a breath, he could feel his lungs expand, just like they did in real life…much to his disappointment. Finally beginning to realize the situation he was in, Akira yelled not so internally:

"Nooo!!, I didn't even get a chance to wipe my hard drive!!"

It's not a very noble reaction, to say the least, but it's painfully sincere. If the time came, he could accept being sent to another world after all.

First I need more information... What's here...? Zero thought, then he remembered the biggest word in the world where they were summoned to another world, although he himself hardly saw or read about it, No, no, it's not very embarrassing, there must be something more appropriate, that is, and with the chosen word he shouted into the air.

"Administrator!!"

Step one and two to finally spend three seconds with nothing happening and he felt very embarrassed.

Then he repeats the first word that came to mind again on the air.

" S-status "

And a screen appears that I recognize as the "Infinity Game" character sheet, and I look at it.

Item in Possession – 750RS (Z2)

The motorcycle that Zero rides.

It is far faster than a carriage and it can easily go far distances.

When moving in the game, you consume vitality, but this item has the effect of reducing the consumption.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While checking he looked out of the corner of his eye and saw a

Boy?, who was running from the forest with a pale face, when he saw him he screamed.

"It's the Demon King Run!!!"

Then I felt a great pressure in the whole area and a smile took over my face and I turned to the place where I felt it and there was nothing so I used an ability to see invisible things and then I saw a handsome young man with laughing black hair and a business suit under a black coat and I lunged to hit him instinctively.

{Battle Skill: Fighting Instinct, Activated}.
