Relationship between them

Evangeline looked at the man playing with the paper stopper as if least interested in where he was, yet she could see how attentive he was.

"Ss," She winced as the doctor held her foot in his hands to inspect it and noticed how Alexander looked at her with a worried expression, making her avert her gaze as her heart skipped a beat.

"Can you be a bit careful? Will you take responsibility if things get worse and she isn't able to walk?" Alexander asked, and Terence rolled his eyes.

"Why should I take responsibility? Aren't you enough for that? Do you really want me to believe nothing is going on between you and the girl and that you would bring just any random girl here and waste your time?" Terence was too honest with his choice of words.

A blush immediately appeared on Evangeline's cheeks that didn't go unnoticed by Alexander, who glared at Terence.
