Chapter 121: A kiss of passion

Evangeline felt groggy.

It was almost as if someone bashed her head with a large stick multiple times and she suffered a great concussion.

Her throat felt dry and opening her eyes felt like a heavy task for her.

She lay there with her eyes closed as she thought about her last memory and everything that happened. Her heart thumped when she remembered seeing Alexander coming to save her despite how dangerous it was.

A weird warmth spread in her heart.

She tried to turn in her position but when she found herself stuck in her position, her brows furrowed and she opened her eyes with great difficulty.

The first thing that came into her vision was an olive chest, on which her face was almost plastered.

Her heart skipped a beat and a shaky breath left her mouth.

Evangeline raised her head slightly to look at the person, her heart thumping loudly when she saw Alexander's face which had a slight frown between his brows.
