The half-giant entered his range of vision. Hagrid had come in running when he saw the letter that was delivered to him by an owl.
"Hag… rid…", he said and took a deep struggling breath before continuing, "Take me to the hospital ward… fast."
Hagrid didn't say a word but instead, he lifted the old man and ran with all he had. He was fast, the fastest compared to all the people he had seen run in his whole life.
'That was foolish… but those eyes…'

Alex was on edge for a while but forgot about Dumbledore's absence for the time being as he knew that the school would've stopped running if something serious happened.
That was the only day he didn't run off to work out and stayed with Aman, listening to him and Hannah talk about food while Susan kept glancing at him.
He paid her no attention and picked up the book that was placed on the table to read but was interrupted by a tap on his shoulder.
He turned around and saw the dirty blond-haired first-year staring at him. Looking past her shoulder, he saw a bunch of girls and two boys glancing in his direction.
'Is this girl actually getting bullied or is something else going on here?'
Seeing that he wasn't about to say anything soon, Luna simply sat down beside him nonchalantly.
"Do you mind sharing the book with me?"
Alex didn't know how to respond for a second and simply nodded with a frown, "Sure…. No wait, why?"
"What do you mean? Isn't that a book on magical creatures?"
He looked at the book's cover which read, "Creatures that only a few can see."
Only after reading the title, did he get a weird feeling. He frowned as he checked the book thoroughly. After fumbling around for a couple of seconds, he pulled out the outer cover.
'And I was wondering why it felt weird…. The cover was too thick and also… non-existent creatures?', he thought as he glanced at Luna.
'Of course… looks like people don't bully her directly, but instead, they try to make her look like an idiot in front of random people. Then there's this naïve straightforward airhead who falls for their traps… now like I should care but I guess I'll entertain her this time.'
"Non-existent creatures… what do you think?", he asked as he opened the book and placed it on the table.
"They wouldn't write a book if those creatures didn't actually exist… the writer is Brian Sandler… a very well-known person… one of my favorites."
"…. Looks like you really like magical creatures huh?"
She nodded in response and pulled the book a little towards herself before turning the pages to the first chapter.
He didn't have to speak after that and he didn't even want to as the book was actually interesting. As she had said, the creatures were described in a very detailed manner.
The five of them spent their time reading and talking until supper. When it was time to head to bed, Alex simply let Luna take the book and asked her to give it to him once she finished reading it.
She left after nodding and Alex headed to his bed instead of the room of requirements. He lay down on his bed, unable to sleep.
'… ah I have to work hard. Fuck! Fuck this sloth!', he cursed as he sat up and checked if he had everything he needed before leaving grumpily.
The repetitive days continued for another week until it was Saturday. He walked out of the room of requirements and freshened up before having breakfast and then decided to take a short nap before his first official match.
Unfortunately for him, Aman woke him up two hours before the match even began.
"What the hell is your problem?", Alex growled, clearly irritated.
"We have a match soon, get up and get ready!"
Alex promptly took out his wand and before he could do anything, Aman ran out. The door closed shut with a slight swipe of his wand and he went back to sleep, hoping that no one disturbed him this time.
Again, he was woken up and this time it was due to the loud banging of the door. Irritated, he took out his wand and opened the door, only to see his whole team standing at the entrance as they looked at him.
Roger looked at him angrily, "The match starts in ten minutes."
"Oh… okay…", he replied and stood up. With a flick of his wand, his clothes were off and the next second his quidditch robes were on. He turned towards the team and saw them looking at him strangely.
"Oh… there were girls here…."

Jason shoulder-bumped him in the dressing room and to his surprise, he didn't fall off the bench like some weightless paper.
"Hey, have you been doing something recently? Like lifting weights and stuff?"
Alex slowly turned towards him with half-closed, groggy eyes.
"Uh… yeah… I am God.", he replied as he rested his head on Jason's shoulder before falling asleep in an instant. Roger looked at him and sighed.
"Just what happened to him?", he asked as he turned towards Aman who shrugged in response.
"I don't know…. For the past few weeks, he has been doing stuff in secret. As for what he has been doing, I don't know."
"Well… I just hope he plays well. We don't want to lose just because of him."
Su Li stood up angrily, "How could you say that? Have you seen his eyes? They're almost completely red. He's clearly tired and as a captain, you should think about your teammate's health and safety before your matches!"
The next five minutes were a mess and when they were out on the grounds, they didn't even look at each other's faces. Alex simply stood with Jason, almost leaning against him, and stood up straight only when Hooch entered the grounds.
