Alex stared blankly for a few seconds before understanding why and simply explained how to do it and then helped him merge the soul fragments back together.
He had learned about the alchemy of souls from the book of ancient alchemy but never expected to use it in any situation other than against Voldemort but it did come to his aid when he needed it.
Ancient alchemy was categorized into four sub-sections based on the difficulty, it started with the alchemy of things, the alchemy of plants which was also called spagyric in recent times, next was the alchemy of the body, and ended with the most difficult of them all, the alchemy of souls.
Percy's body floated in the air while a thick strand of silvery light shot into his head from Isis's. It took a while but it was done nonetheless.
"Can you stay in character?"
Lucio nodded, who was now in Percy's body, "Yes. Although I don't like it, the guy you just killed was actually a pretty amazing actor."
"He sure was… if it wasn't for you, I'd have probably fallen for his trap."
Percy gave out a depreciating laugh, "Why do I feel like you planned every single thing out? You literally used the people who trusted you the most and depended on you. That's a bit heartless, isn't it?"
Alex coughed lightly, "If it's necessary for my survival, I'll do it. It's not like you were killed. I'm sure that the future me planned everything after a lot of effort and thinking."
"You sure did." He said, giving Alex a look of disappointment. "Putting that aside, what's your next plan?"
"My next plan huh… physical exertion. Like he said, I'll try my best to kill sloth and wrath. Lust and gluttony can be consumed. Finally, pride and envy… he said that the difficulty of consuming and killing the is the same so I'll think about it based on the situation.
You simply protect Harry. For the sake of your own life of course, but don't try to help him in any other way. You already know since you ate his soul, threads of fate surround him like swarming bees."
"Understood. Now…", he paused for a second, "I think that staying out of your common room this late will call for a deduction in house points and a visit to the professor Flitwick's office."
Alex ignored him and turned near invisible. Percy headed back inside, hoping to experience school life again, albeit with a few restrictions.
A few seconds after he was gone, the previous body which he used simply vanished.
*************
Alex didn't go to his dormitory and instead, walked into the room of requirements as he had something important to do before heading to bed.
A shining golden yellow chain shot out from his hand and circled around him for a few seconds until he caught it and tried to control it with his mind. He used the same method he learnt from Voldemort and in a fraction of a second, he found himself in a large room.
A yellowish ball the size of his fist floated in front of him and before he could do anything, mounds of gold shot out of it, as if challenging him.
"Hmm?" he muttered and all he had to do was think of it and it appeared. Mounds of gold that Alex owned appeared mid-air and fell down, forming a large hill of gold galleons.
The amount of gold he had was almost equal to the yellow ball of light. He looked at the large mounds below him and sighed, "I expected a little bit more… that guy really overhyped you lot."
A small red stone appeared in his hands and before he could do anything else, the yellow ball of light shot into him, making his body glow in bright yellow for a few seconds.
He couldn't see anything while the glow was present but after it was gone, he was back in the room of requirements. With a sight frown on his face, he thought of the yellow chain and it shot out of his body before staying still in front of him.
He did not know what kind of power he received so he stared at the chain, trying to see if there were any changes, only to fail.
'Oh well… he didn't lie and yet I'm unable to get this thing. Maybe I should ask Lucio… no Percy. Always gotta call him Percy in my head so I don't mess things up when I talk about him with others.', he thought as he held the chain, wanting to feel its weight.
Instead, he got a splitting headache which made him get to his knees. It was only after a few minutes that he stood up, sweat drenching his face and body.
'So that's how you learn how to use the power and how it works. Not really an experience I'd like to go through but anyways, I can now push someone to go completely mental for just a few galleons but only one person at once huh… Useful but not too much since I can do most of the stuff that I want without the need to do that.
Hmm… Greed… should I use it on Ron to isolate Harry even more? I guess there's no need to do that. The poor guy suffered a lot already… maybe I'll save it for when I might actually need it.'
Alex sighed as he left the room of requirements, his thoughts falling on Lucio, 'Did I really get attached to someone so much that I'd compare it to familial bonds? It doesn't matter now since I'll most probably learn about it in the future. At the very least, the chances of him staying under my control is way higher than that weird ass alien guy who wanted to kill me.
As for the time magic restrictions…. I'll have to learn a bit more. Although I did learn a bit from the book of ancient alchemy, the time turner that Percy has, is breaking some of the rules…'

Lost in thought, he quietly headed back to bead and tried to fall asleep, only to sit up on his bed as he felt uneasy. It took him a while to realize what he had forgotten about.
"Tch. Extra work.", he muttered and dashed out of the room to one of the lavatories closest to him before hurriedly calling out, "Toffy!!"
As if he was waiting for this to happen, Toffy appeared right in front of him, "Home, master?"
Alex nodded and was back home. He looked for Helen who sat in a corner, shivering. With a slight frown on his face, he called out for her, "Helen?"
She looked up, clearly startled, "Who are you and why am I here? Also, how do you know my name?"
"…." He took his time to think of a proper reply for her but gave up midway, "So you actually forgot about it. You signed a contract with me. Here, take a look at it."
It took a while to calm Helen down and console her before he explained what had happened.
"So, I signed this contract….", she said and sighed helplessly. She was like a completely different person which meant that she had been controlled until now.
She looked up at him and said, "I don't really need shelter. I'd be grateful if you are willing to change the contents of the contract."
"I don't mind it but I do need the transformation techniques. If your conditions aren't too hard for me, I don't mind changing the contract."
"Thank you. I want you to take care of my daughter. She… made a few bad decisions in life and now her own husband's family want to kill her. I just want you to help her escape their clutches and shelter her instead of me."
Alex looked at her and then glanced at Toffy while considering her request, "It's complicated. I don't know anything about her husband's family so unless I get more information, I cannot make a decision."
"She's a squib and fell in love with an Italian wizard who visited our palace for a trip and things happened. She got pregnant and then was hunted down. I was able to keep her safe while I was a queen but some weird kid attacked me while I was asleep and now, I don't remember anything."
"Manageable but which family is chasing her?"
"… the Tiano family. You can even call them one of the biggest in Italy. They don't like their blood being tainted by other races. They imprisoned her husband but she escaped and now they're trying to find her. I don't know how much time has passed but if it has been too long, I'm afraid that they've already found her."
Alex sighed, his head hurting a little. "Do you know her location? Or this Tiano family's location?"
She nodded and gave him the locations before telling him everything she knew about the Italian family.
"I'll go check it out but if things are unfavourable, I'll be back without anything for now."
Helen nodded and Alex looked at Toffy who promptly grabbed his arm and teleported away. The two of them checked all the locations that Helen expected her daughter to be and they did find her after almost thirty minutes.
"Are you Nyeta?", Alex asked the woman who had just opened the door.
"Who- I mean why? No no, I mean, no I'm not Nyeta. Who is she?"
Hearing her respond, Alex simply stared at her with a weird expression, "You're literally giving away that you know her. I'll be surprised if those Piano people walked away without barging into your house."
"You mean Tiano? Anyways, I do know her and since you don't seem like you're one of those people, why are you here?"
"Her mom asked me to get her."
"Oh… she went missing a few months ago but looks like she's safe. I'll bring Nyeta, so please come in."
"Oh it's alright, we are in a hurry so I'll appreciate it If you get her soon."
The woman nodded and headed inside, leaving the door open.
"Master, is this woman dumb?"
"I don't care as long as it makes things easy. I'm just genuinely surprised that she believed me so easily."
A few minutes later, a young woman walked towards him with two kids in her arms.
"I'm Nyeta and can you tell me why my mother wants me?"
"She wants you to be safe from the Piano family."
Nyeta shook her head, "I'm not leaving until I save my husband from them. I don't want to see my kids called fatherless."
"Then you should've chosen wisely instead of follow- ah never mind. Tell me what's going on and I'll see if I can save him."
"He's imprisoned in the cellars. It's underground, below their mansion. He will be executed next year at the end of January."
"That means we still have time. Just come with me to meet your mother and I'll help you bring your husband back."
Nyeta chuckled, shaking her head, "You're just a kid."
"Age doesn't determine capabilities, miss Nyeta. You should be in your twenties but you did a very foolish mistake and now you're also making your mother worry.
Your husband will die in a few months and your children are about to be fatherless. Your friend can't even lie well so if the p- I mean Tiano guys come here, you are bound to be found out.
You need power to survive in this harsh world freely. How should I prove it to you that I am completely capable of rescuing your husband?"
Nyeta simply stared at him while biting her lower lip. It was only after a few seconds that she spoke, "Win a duel my friend's husband."
"Bring him here." He said plainly. He didn't have to wait much as a hulking figure stood in front of him. He was only a few inches shorter than Hagrid and to Alex, who was shorted than most of his age, he was like a large tower.
