Upon hearing this, Adam immediately defended his sister, "Simon, you're going too far. My sister has already explained it clearly!"
In reality, Adam's words were intentionally directed at Benjamin. After all, Simon represented Benjamin's reputation to some extent.
By speaking out against Simon like this, Adam was indirectly expressing his stance against Benjamin. It was just a more subtle way of doing so.
After finishing his statement, he stared at Benjamin. He didn't understand why did Benjamin suddenly undergo such a significant transformation and go to great lengths for Martina? Was this really normal?
Didn't Benjamin used to be indifferent towards Martina? So why did he suddenly change so much, as if he had become a completely different person?
Unfortunately, even if Adam were to ask these questions directly, it wouldn't lead to any meaningful answers.
