Finally, August had arrived. The hole in the wire had been repaired, and the CCTV cameras on Alex's plantation were now installed. The most joyous occasion, however, was the ripening of the apples in Alex's orchard.

Aware of this, Alex diligently inspected every aspect of the farm to ensure that everything was in order. Since the previous incident involving trespassers on his property, there had been no signs of any more intruders, which brought a sense of relief to Alex as he continued to survey his apple trees.

After conducting several thorough examinations, he found that each apple had acquired a brilliant red hue, reminiscent of precious gemstones. A subtle, sweet aroma emanated from them, noticeable as he approached.

Without hesitation, Alex plucked one of the apples and immediately took a bite.

"Crack!" The crisp sound reverberated in the air.
