Chapter 217: Wick joins the gang?

Kan turned in search of the new person and beheld a figure standing by the side, smiling.

"Wick...?" Kan muttered, finding it hard to believe what he was seeing. Wick kept smiling, silent as ever.

What baffled Kan the most was that he had rarely seen Wick smile; he was always the one with the grumpy face. What had happened today? Kan couldn't tell.

Wick moved towards Kan and stood between him and the other gang members, who were enraged by their boss's sudden defeat. They transformed into another form, their faces contorting, claws sharpening, and eyes turning black. They were ready to take down Wick and Kan.

With heavy breaths, one of them lunged towards Kan and Wick.

Kan wanted to move closer to Wick to fight side by side, but Wick raised a finger and said, "I've got this all covered. Don't deprive me of the fun of killing them all by myself."
