Chapter 48 : Preliminary 2
The fight between Naruto and Kiba continues, Naruto is unpredictable as always while Kiba this time around isn't that arrogant. Maybe a content beating from Shikamaru in their training session mellows him out.
The match commenced with a flurry of movement as Naruto plus his clones, and Kiba charged towards each other. Kiba, relying on his keen senses and his partner Akamaru's assistance, Fang Over Fang against multiple of Naruto's Shadow clones.
Naruto utilises his shadow clones to keep Kiba on his toes. With his signature determination, he countered Kiba's assaults with a mix of taijutsu and ninjutsu.
He didn't have any other Ninjutsu in his belt, it's funny actually that Naruto in the entire 700 episodes didn't even learn 7 different types of technique. What was Kisimoto thinking?
As the battle intensified, Naruto and Kiba exchanged blows with increasing ferocity. Kiba's fangs bared in a snarl as he attempted to gain the upper hand, while Naruto's resolve burned bright as he fought tooth and nail to hold his ground.
There was a fart moment this time around, Naruto won't have to rely on plot armour, at least not here. Although it wasn't very obvious, Naruto had the upper hand in the fight from the very start.
It wasn't that Naruto was more skilled or anything, it's just that he had more chakra to spend. So much so that Kiba will run out of his chakra faster than Naruto keep making clones every 5 seconds.
Shikamaru can say that Kiba is already down by 30% of his chakra, thanks to his previous encounter with Kiba, the moment he started with Fang Over Fang, he consumed a lot of chakra.
Kiba's chakra used to be higher than his own, but now Shikamaru is much better thanks to his continuous training and hard work.
Despite Kiba's formidable skills, Naruto's resourcefulness and perseverance began to turn the tide of the battle. Well again more or less it was thanks to his insane amount of chakra.
Ultimately though, Naruto got the upper hand. It was only time before Naruto cooked up something devious in his head and caught Kiba off guard.
"Winner Naruto Uzumaki," Gekko Hayate said as Naruto came out from dancing and giving flying kisses to everyone.
It may be Shikamaru's hallucination but he even saw flying hearts there.
Dodge them all.

"Next Match is between Rock Lee and Kankuro of the Sand," Proctor said as a youthful exclaim was heard from the sideline.
"Ghosh, it's finally my turn. Come Sand Shinobi, let's see how powerful you are," Lee said with his normal loud-the-top personality.
Compared to him, his opponent was much more composed.
As both Kankuro and Lee entered the fighting ring, Shiakmaru on the side was already planning how this fight was most likely gonna go.
The pure power difference here is too much, Lee could easily own Kankuro. But there is one thing which Kankuro have that can turn the tables.
Poison.
If Lee gets poisoned then Kankuro has a chance to win here. He also has a chance to Poison him considering the real Kankuro is hiding. He can just pull off some totally deadly move with his puppet here just to poison Lee.

As the arena buzzed with chattering on who gonna win, the next match began between Rock Lee and Kankuro. From the outset, Lee's lightning-fast reflexes allowed him to effortlessly dodge Kankuro's hidden weapons. However, Kankuro's true challenge lay in the form of his mysterious puppet.
Technically only Shikamaru knows about Kankuro using puppets. For him, it might be very easy to beat Kankuro because he exactly knows what to do but Lee is going there blind.
But does that mean that he will help out Lee here, information gathering during a fight is a very important skill for any Ninja. It's a part of his Training.
As the battle progressed, Lee found himself struggling to anticipate the puppet's movements. Despite his agility and combat prowess, he couldn't seem to gain the upper hand. Confusion clouded his mind as he grappled with the unfamiliar opponent.
It was worth noting though that he didn't even remove his weights, let alone open the gates. He was just confused, being a Taijutsu master he could tell that something was off, the movement the opponent was making was not natural.
Again he didn't know that he was fighting a puppet.
Sweat beaded on Lee's brow as he narrowly avoided a barrage of puppet strikes. His frustration mounting, he realized that something wasn't adding up.
It wasn't exactly that he was having trouble evading the attack, even with weight on, Lee was insanely fast. The real problem came with the unorthodox attack and movements from the puppets.
After thinking much about it, Lee could only go for a powerful strike to knock the enemy out. Pretty easy for him, with one punch he sends the puppet flying back.
And that when he realized that he wasn't fighting a human all thsi time, it was a puppet. Finally lessons from Guy sensei coming back to him about Puppet users and most of them come from Suna.
With a sudden revelation, Lee deduced that Kankuro wasn't fighting him directly – he was controlling the puppet from a distance.
Determined to turn the tables, Lee shifted his focus, scanning the arena for signs of Kankuro's true location.
Not being able to use chakra also means that he was terrible at sensing it, but that was fine, Lee had his own way of doing things.
Rather thank looking for Kankuro he decided to just break the puppet in front of him to the point where it just render completely useless.
With newfound determination, Lee lunged forward, his movements fueled by a surge of adrenaline. With pinpoint accuracy, he severed the thread, breaking Kankuro's control over the puppet. And then destoying all the parts one by one.
As Kankuro's true body was revealed, Lee wasted no time in launching a swift and decisive assault. His fists blurring with speed, he landed a series of powerful blows, leaving Kankuro stunned and unable to retaliate.
Ultimately Lee Won.
Shikamaru knew that would be the result but still it was fun to watch the fight.
