Chapter 67: 66. Motives and Opportunities

"Once we enter this room, I am required to use my abilities to assist in gathering necessary information," Professor Klein warned Professor Milton.

They stood outside the room Joshua Loane was being detained in.

"Thanks for the warning. I'll try not to think anything incriminating," Professor Milton said and smiled.

Klein cut her eyes at the woman. Was that a nervous joke or a petty remark for warning her, as if she had something to hide? It was hard to gauge her most of the time. 

"The amount of money you spend on clothes doesn't count,"

She approached the officer standing outside the door. He gave her a quick nod and knocked 3 times on the heavy metal. The guard standing on the other side of it opened so they could enter.

"Professors, I've only been awake for 2 hours and you guys are already here to question me. I feel special," Joshua said, wincing as he sat up on his cot.
