Chapter 65: Rescue Team

Alex was done and had to brief the Specters about the task that they had sent him to undertake.

The room was dark, the curtains were down to shield them from the sun's rays.

There were ten chairs arranged linearly, side by side but no one could see anything.

Alex didn't get on one knee because this wasn't medieval time but he clearly showed that he recognized their authority with his body language, all the chairs were empty except two.

"Well, Alex… Where is she and who have you brought back with you?" This was Cindy's voice and she asked the all-important question.

The fact that the other Specters weren't here showed that these two were the only ones that saw this as something important.
