Chapter 11: Chapter 11: A New Journey

Zaine waited a few minutes, commanding his summons to try and slow the wind currents, to let the sandstorm go by faster. Moments passed, and the sandstorm got lifted, revealing an orc lord there, just as he predicted.

{Would you like to enter (Orc Lord's domain)?}

{Yes / No}

"YES!"

The orc lord stood tall, wielding a cleaver the size of its body.

Zaine could feel the air burning as he teleported inside the domain. The sand floor made the place look like a living hell.

Zaine made shelter provided by the wood from the Spectral Ent, making a temporary cover for him from the enchanted heat of the sun.

He wanted this fight to end as soon as possible.

The Orc Lord prepares the battle as it grips its cleaver and runs towards the Giantess.

The Orc Lord minion is just regular Orcs. They are dealt with quickly by the Ents and Giants Zaine had spawned pre-fight.

Overall, the Giantess has more power over the Orc Lord, and with it together with the Spectral Giantess, the fight quickly takes a turn, and the Orc lord get dominated.

On the verge of defeat, the orc lord tusk starts growing, and its body radiates a red aura around it, signaling the second and last phase of the boss fight. The atmosphere surrounding the Orc Lord pushed back the Giantess, forcing her to defend herself.

In the second phase of the orc lord, its strength is sufficiently increased, and its senses heightened.

Zaine summoned more spectral Giantess and used up almost all his mana. The group swarms the Orc Lord. Zaine intends to win with a sheer number, and with a number, he prevails.

With the orc lord surrounded from all sides, it can't do much, its movement slowed by the roots of the ents, its arm held up, leaving nothing for him to fight, and it dies.

Zaine did not think the fight would be that easy. With the Giantess and the Orc Lord at his disposal, he can challenge other monsters of a more powerful caliber.

Zaine finishes up with the quest, exits the domain, and heads back to the safe zone.

"I'm back, Amy! How have you been?" Zaine got back, greeting Amy with the news that he had.

"Zaine? You're back?! So quick!" Amy was shocked by Zaine for finishing the most challenging quest of the safe zone so fast.

"Okay, Zaine," Amy went to her counter and stood before Zaine.

"Congratulation on completing the quest! Here is the roulette. As promised, you will receive an artifact (Mythical).

Zaine spun the roulette, hoping to get the things he wanted. They both looked closely at the roulette...

"Ooo, you got a Resurrection Charm (Mythical). This allows you to live a second life. So if you lose your life, this artifact will be used up and grant you a second life. Congratulation, this item is one of a kind." Said Amy while handing over the artifact to Zaine.

Zaine was amazed at the brightly shining item. The charm exudes a shining golden color and is shaped like a gemstone, truly one of a kind.

After Zaine finished taking the rewards, Amy checked around the guild hall, walking around, looking at every nook and cranny, searching for clues as to how to leave the place and be free of the safe zone.

Zaine also tries to help by looking around the place, on the counter, inside the cabinet, below, even the floors and ceiling.

They both came up empty and as the sad atmosphere filled the room, Zaine got an idea. He knows almost all the important things are inside the status check, so he tells Amy about this, and she agrees to try it.

"Status Check"

Amy saw her status. She looked at every line closely and didn't find anything significant. Zaine asks about the class that she is in.

Class: Receptionist (Temp)

Zaine knew the class icon could be pressed, giving more information upon doing so.

"Umm, Amy, can you click the class button? Maybe something will happen." Zaine pleaded to Amy, telling her to do what he told him to for one last time.

Amy doesn't look good anymore. She has lost all hope. Her face looks like Zaine's face while playing HHL for countless hours.

Even then, she followed Zaine's order and clicked on the class icon. Just then, a notification popped up.

{It seems your job is done. Do you wish to quit the class?}

Amy paused a bit, rubbing her eyes. Soon a smirk could be seen on her face. Finally finding the way, and without any doubt, Amy pressed it.

"YES!"

She pressed the button, and the grumble could be heard from all over the place.

Zaine collects all the food he can while Amy runs outside of the slowly crumbling department store.

Amy is now free. And with joy all over her face, she tells Zaine to hurry up and go.

"Go to where?" Zaine wonders.

"Of course, to Avalon!" Said Amy excitingly.

They walked outside together, the refreshed-looking Amy now walking beside him. After a few moments, Zaine invites Amy to try out his transportation.

"Are you tired, Amy?" Ask Zaine to Amy.

"Well, a bit, but it is nothing I could not endure. Why are you asking me that? Do you want to carry me?" Bored and tired from walking, Amy decided to joke around with Zaine.

"Well, no... But this can." Zaine summons an Ent, shocking Amy.

"Uhh, are you sure this is safe?" Ask Amy concerned about their safety.

"Of course, I can guarantee it."

"O-Okay then, I will take you up on that!"

Amy went up the ent, sitting down in one of its branches. Zaine also followed her shortly after.

"Is this your first time going out?" Ask Zaine curiously.

"Hmm, I was not always there. When I was a child, I played as other children would, but after I was around 12 years old, I was tasked to take care of the Adventurers Guild and hand out quests to adventurers." Explained Amy.

"And from then on, I sleep, eat, and practically lived there since."

Zaine intently hears Amy's story, thinking what a person he has stumbled upon.
