Chapter 362: Chapter 362: The Main Timeline of Faerûn

Dragon Court Dimension, Eternal Hall.

After spending some time together, the two massive dragons nestled against each other. As usual, the Energon Dragon Maiden fell into a slumber during her idle moments.

Garon, on the other hand, was constructing a tangled network in his mind as he napped.

The Arcane Network.

The harvest from the timeline of Faerûn wasn't limited to divinity magic and a host of powerful legendary spells but also included the method of constructing the Arcane Network, which he acquired from the first-generation Goddess of Magic.

After a pleasant transaction with Garon, the first-generation Goddess of Magic handed over the principles and maintenance methods of creating the Arcane Network without affecting her own divine duties.

The principle of the Arcane Network was not complicated.

Especially now that Garon, like a deity, could perceive the universal rules of all things, he easily grasped the workings of the Arcane Network after ascending to godhood.

It essentially involved organizing the chaotic magical elements into an orderly form, making them easier to command by spellcasters.

However, the challenge in building the Arcane Network was its perpetual maintenance.

Before the War of Glory, Garon had contemplated using the power of mystical machinery, akin to the network stations on Earth, to create physical nodes for the Arcane Network that would assist its operation over a large area. Unfortunately, he never succeeded.

It is noteworthy that the first-generation Goddess of Magic spent ninety-nine percent of her energy on maintaining the orderly operation of the Arcane Network without restricting spellcasters.

Unless Garon intended to create a trivial local Arcane Network, it would undoubtedly require the oversight of a being on the level of deities.

After the War of Glory, the deity Garon emerged.

Now, with his divine status stabilized, Garon felt that if deity Garon could create the Dragon Arcane Network, it might further enhance his divine powers.

This action would certainly offend the third-generation Goddess of Magic.

However, the third-generation Goddess of Magic is hardly comparable to the first.

As the mother of all magic, the first-generation Goddess of Magic was respected by all major deities, like the Elven High God, Corellon, whose overall strength surpassed the first, but who could not cast a single spell under her domain.

As for the current third-generation.

She voluntarily imposed limitations on the Arcane Network, shackling her most core powers.

The third-generation Goddess of Magic is now among the weakest in terms of mighty divine powers.

Metallic Dragon God and the Eternal Dragoness agree: she is merely a mortal who by chance grasped divine powers and cannot escape mundane thinking, narrow-minded and foolish.

"Such a third-generation Goddess of Magic might be mighty, but she's easy to bully."

In Garon's plan, the Dragon Arcane Network would only be accessible to true dragons of the dragon race or dragon-lineage beings that belong to the dragon faction, recognized by the great dragons.

Also, not all dragons would have the same level of access.

The deeper the worship of the Dragon God, the higher the access rights to the Dragon Arcane Network, which could also help consolidate the dragon race's faith.

Garon wouldn't limit this faith target to himself.

Since faith cannot be forced, the Dragon Arcane Network is just a minor encouragement. Those unwilling to worship deity Garon wouldn't be swayed by higher network access. True faith deepens naturally from genuine admiration for deity Garon.

Under such circumstances, it's better to broaden the scope and benefit other Dragon Gods as well.

These settings are starkly different from the traditional Arcane Network.

If questioned by the third-generation Goddess of Magic, Garon could assert confidently, "What does your Arcane Network have to do with the Dragon Arcane Network of my dragon deity series?"

Garon made his decision.

The creation of the Dragon Arcane Network was entrusted to deity Garon, who believed he could attain this divine authority and advance his divine power level further.

As time quietly passed.

After ending his dalliance with the Cold Goddess, deity Garon received a message from Garon's original form, expressing interest in the Dragon Arcane Network and his intention to try creating it.

However, one step at a time.

It wasn't realistic to create a complete Dragon Arcane Network in one go.

Deity Garon and Garon decided to start with the Dragon Court Dimension, initially trying to create the Dragon Arcane Network there before expanding it to the prime material world and eventually to all outer dimensions.

After concluding communication with deity Garon.

Garon opened his eyes and glanced at the Energon Dragon Maiden who was sound asleep beside him.

The silver dragon extended his slender, powerful tail and tickled Yuna's nose with the vibrating tip, causing her to sneeze loudly within seconds. The layered gold coins and gems in the dragon's nest were shaken out, forming a crater.

Yuna woke up, glaring at the mis

chievous silver dragon with her light purple eyes.

"What are you doing?"

The Energon Dragon Maiden, slightly grumpy from waking, bit the silver dragon's tail and mumbled.

"I'm going to the continent of Faerûn."

"Let's go together."

In the prime material world, the Arcane Network of the Goddess of Magic was centered around the world of Faerûn, extending and radiating to other material worlds, covering many of the prime material worlds.

Garon, having spent over a century in the timeline of Faerûn, was quite familiar with it.

However, he was curious about the current state of Faerûn in the main timeline and what the third-generation Goddess of Magic had done to the current Arcane Network.

On the other side, upon hearing Garon's words.

Yuna's eyes lit up, nodding repeatedly and saying, "Yes, yes, let's go together."

Whenever Garon traveled to other timelines, he would share the events there as stories with Yuna, sparking the Energon Dragon Maiden's interest in the continent of Faerûn, leading her to readily agree now.

"Then let's set off now."

Having rested enough in the Dragon Court Dimension, Garon was now eager to visit the prime material world.

He directly opened a portal to the world of Faerûn through the Imaskar Crown.

The Second Imaskar Empire was desperately searching for the world of Faerûn, trying to find a way home. However, due to the damage previously caused by Garon, they were still trapped in their own material world, with their magical fleet no longer deployed.

Garon had already pinpointed the coordinates of the world of Faerûn.

His presence was no longer confined to a few prime material worlds.

During the War of Glory, Garon could hardly recall how many different prime material worlds he had visited, leaving behind legends of the Lord of the Dragon Court in many of them.

Amid the ripples of spatial fluctuation.

The figures of the two massive dragons gradually began to fade, eventually disappearing.

Meanwhile.

The main timeline of the continent of Faerûn.

Ruins of the floating city of the ancient Netheril Empire. In the main timeline, the Netheril Empire had become just a name recorded in ancient texts. The ruins of the floating city, which had crashed from the sky to the ground, were the most widely known traces of this ancient empire.

In an airspace over the floating city ruins.

In the azure sky, gentle ripples of space appeared.

Two enormously powerful dragons emerged from the planar portal.

Then, amid a burst of light, the two dragons gradually shrank to the size of ordinary legendary dragons, about thirty meters long.

Their demi-godly size was too conspicuous.

Since they were just visiting, Garon and Yuna didn't want to attract too much attention, so they transformed into a size that would avoid many troubles and not attract too much gaze.

The sun hung high in the sky like a massive fireball.

The soft golden sunlight radiated out, pouring over all things on the earth.

Bathing in the bright sunshine, Yuna looked around curiously, taking in the surroundings.

Garon's gaze fell to the forest below.

In the lush green forest, surrounded by a sea of green, the vast ruins were faintly visible, showing the impact of a meteorite-like crash. The ground covered by vegetation was full of huge, fragmented crevices, with some magical creatures moving through them, building nests.

The pit revealed remnants of magical buildings from the Netheril floating city.

Anything of value had already been gradually removed by explorers.

But from the remains of these ruins, one could still vaguely discern the past splendor of the floating city.

"Hey, there seems to be that kind of network-like magical structure you tinkered with back in the dragon's nest in the air here."

Yuna noticed the existence of the Arcane Network, exclaiming in surprise.

The silver dragon nodded slightly, shifting his focus to the current Arcane Network.

With the Arcane Network present, the elemental energies in this world were as usual—orderly and stable, making it easy to manipulate and construct spells.

But Garon also noticed something different.

In his vision, the Arcane Network seemed to have become much thinner yet also more robust.

Narrowing his eyes, Garon raised his dragon claw, attempting to construct a powerful eleventh-ring spell called Sunlight Explosion.

At the sharp tips of the dragon's claws, elemental energies began to gather.

However, the orderly elemental energies were locked within the Arcane Network. Although pulled by Garon's magical and mental powers, they were reluctant to move and showed little response.

After a brief attempt, Garon ceased his spell construction.

He could forcefully execute the Sunlight Explosion, but compared to a world without an Arcane Network, the magical and mental energy required would be significantly higher—even Garon felt the

strain, let alone ordinary legendary spellcasters.

The Arcane Network resisted and even seemed to forbid the casting of high-level spells.

When the first-generation Goddess of Magic was present, the Arcane Network of the world of Faerûn never imposed such restrictions on spellcasters. High-level spells continuously damaged the Arcane Network, so the first-generation Goddess of Magic devoted much energy to its maintenance.

The third-generation Goddess of Magic, however, outright banned high-level spells.

The advantage was that this goddess didn't have to constantly attend to the Arcane Network like the first, which was a relief. But the downside was self-destructive, diminishing her divine status and making her one of the weakest among the mighty divine powers.

"Now, the continent of Faerûn probably has far fewer legendary spellcasters."

Garon thought to himself.

Or rather, not just Faerûn but all the prime material worlds with an Arcane Network under the third-generation Goddess of Magic's restrictions were not favorable for spellcasters.

"With the shackles of the Arcane Network, this world can only dream of revisiting the glory of the Netheril era."

Garon felt pity for the continent of Faerûn.

This world, which had once been a cradle of powerful magical empires like the Imaskar Empire, Enser Empire, and Netheril Empire, was now stifled in its development.

At the same time.

Garon turned his gaze towards the deep forest to the east.

Near the center of the forest, a towering red peak pierced the clouds. The silver dragon's gaze penetrated the swirling mists to see a temple at the top of the mountain.

"This..."

When his gaze passed through the temple walls and saw the objects inside, Garon paused in surprise.

Yuna also noticed the existence of the red mountain and temple.

"Garon, there seems to be a divine presence inside."

"I didn't expect to encounter demi-godly power just as we arrived."

The Energon Dragon Maiden appeared alert and eager.

After the War of Glory ended, the long-dormant Energon Dragoness was feeling a bit itchy for action.

Garon calmed the excited Energon Dragon Maiden, whispering, "Don't rush; it seems to be an old acquaintance."

Next.

The two dragons flapped their wings, tearing through the fierce winds and sunlight, and reached the top of the towering red mountain in just a few breaths.

Thump, thump, thump.

A subtle, ceaseless vibration emanated from deep within the temple.

In a flash of light, the two nearly divine dragons transformed into small, cute, and somewhat adorable hatchling forms—one silver, one red.

On Yuna's body, her diamond-like, luminous scales were inherently red.

According to Yuna, the color of Energon Dragon scales isn't fixed, but red is relatively special among them because, according to their tribal legends, the scales of the Energon Dragon progenitor were a dazzling red. The unique pattern of diamond-like scales was also inherited from that ancestor.

Seconds later.

With crown-like dragon horns and a dignified yet youthful demeanor, the hatchling dragons entered the temple's grand doors.

Because it was situated atop a steep peak, inaccessible to ordinary creatures, and surrounded by numerous magical barriers, the temple had no guards and was deserted.

Thump, thump, thump. As they approached, the vibrations from deep within the temple became clearer.

The magical barriers were virtually non-existent in front of the two hatchling dragons.

Easily passing through, little Garon and little Yuna arrived inside the temple.

Observing the interior of the temple, little Yuna displayed a curious expression, while little Garon's gaze was more complex, feeling somewhat regretful.

In the dragons' field of vision, in the empty center of the grand temple hall.

A statue in human form, with a twisted expression of agony, was kneeling there.
