Arianell thought that Seth would take a longer time to decide but he made up his mind at the speed of a thunderbolt. He ran to them before she could cross the threshold, but instead of trying to protect her from any harm, he clutched her sleeve from behind like a coward.
The interior was only dimly lit, but she breathed out of relief when she didn't see as much ghastly decoration as outside. Bennet probably didn't have enough time to change the inside of the house completely which saved her from another heart attack.
"It's already late and judging by the state of celebration on the streets, commander probably won't be back until midnight… Would you like to have dinner, or to tour the house first?" Bennet asked politely but Arianell wished to skip both options.
Will she be able to swallow anything in this haunted house? And what is the tour for? If she sees any more ghosts and skulls hanging on the wall, she won't be able to sleep tonight.
