The demon screeched in pain and fell from the sky after being hit.
"Yes, I did it!" The man cheered, not aware of the fact that his power was insufficient to deal such a blow.
"Good job, Vincent!" Arianell caught up to him, but their sense of victory couldn't last long. Even with the sight compromised, the beast was still strong.
"The carriage!" He pushed her ahead. The coach was locked by the magic, but the protective barrier should be effective even if they just stood by it. What Vincent was counting on, was the signal it would send to the magician once the spell was attacked.
"Are you sure this will work?" Arianell asked. The protective layer could not be seen simply by the human's eye, so it looked like they were standing outside waiting for their death.
