Chapter 278: She had been fooled

Xia Mengrui held Su Wanwan and shook her. "Why is she not dead yet?"

Fear gripped Su wanwan, making her shiver involuntarily.

She really couldn't understand how much Xia Mengrui was serious about getting Xia Lihua killed. 

Xia Mengrui saw the hesitation in Su Wanwan's eyes. "You don't want to kill her?" Her tone turned incredulous, bordering on dangerous. "Why can't you listen to one thing I say?"

"I...I..." Su Wanwan didn't know what to say. She dared not meet Xia Mengrui's eyes, knowing the wrath that burned within them.

Xia Mengrui didn't like how Su Wanwan was stammering and couldn't even finish one sentence. Her patience snapped like a brittle twig. She seized a bowl of steaming hot noodles from the nearby table and flung it at Su Wanwan.

The noodles splattered against Su Wanwan's skin, scalding her skin, but she made no move to wipe them off, knowing any further reaction would only stoke Xia Mengrui's fury.
