Chapter 65: Second day part 3

A moment later, Alaric emerged from the same spot, with a lifeless goblin's body in his hand.

"Why are they so fragile..." he grumbled, recalling that everything had gone almost perfectly, and he might have successfully learned this new skill if it weren't for the fact that those condensed shadows were just god damm too delicate.

"I have to find a way to make them hard, real fast…" 

Not satisfied with his little experiment he vented all his frustration on the goblins. He began to massacre them, and with each of them defeated, his resolve only grew stronger.

The numbers of the goblins began to dwindle, their ferocity didn't work in the face of someone who could just turn himself into ethereal. 

One by one, the goblins fell beneath Alaric's shadow and shield magic. 

Their feeble attempts to overpower him proved futile as his mastery over both magic and battler far surpassed that of someone like them.
