This is one of the finest read in the platform and it will always remain close to my heart πŸ’– This is a book to be not missed if you are one to enjoy Historical Romance. So far out of every book I've read in this platform only one other book apart from this one stood out to me in the said genre. πŸ₯° I find it difficult to believe this is author's first attempt at writing. This book is a complete package of drama, love, happiness, envy, betrayal, anguish, outrage, longing, desire, helplessness and hopefulness. It felt very realistic and not just a mere fiction. Every characters' thoughts, actions and emotions were spectacularly written helping in better understanding of their behavior and personality from their POV helping me in not being judgemental of their person. The author has done a good job in molding the characters and their emotions which are shown in different shades as the story progresses which left me in awe as each new shade broke my preconceived notions of their personality that I managed to previously comprehend πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ» The author's passion for writing is clearly visible in their well organized writing style. The pace is just right. I admire the way each chapters are artfully development and organized according to the dates helping in comprehending the time frame each events take place as the past and present were exceptionally interwoven. I especially appreciate the way the FLASHBACK chapters were introduced while they perfectly coincide with the present πŸ€— Volume l speaks of HOPE even in worse of situations while Volume ll speaks of DESPAIR even in the best of situations. Everything that happens in our life is our own doing. Either it's a choice we make or the consequences of the choice we made. The contradiction in difference in characters' thought process, behavior and personality is to an astounding extreme and that's left me wondering how the author even thought of writing such extreme Volumes in a single book, in a single story nonetheless. You've got an exceptional thinking mind and a creative one πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Volume l: To be a good king is to be an unfit father; to be a good father is to be an unwise King. Happiness within the walls of castle are scarce, survival in a battle is unperceivable, loss in a battle is unfathomable and the victory in a battle is meaningless. They were all beautifully woven by the author's writing through the love of two soulsπŸ₯° The life of a happy young Princess, Camilla, is turned is into a hellish nightmare over the fate's cruel play where she's left alone depending on the very same enemy who turned her live into the nightmare, for safety and survival. She was lonely despite being surrounded by people of court where men lusted for her and women despised her very existence. Despite being scorned, humiliated and almost violated while living among strangers, she managed to find love unexpectedly through a man, William, who was nothing but a hellish rake until the day he defyed his King and saved her from her doom. William, who was completely besotted with Camilla did try really hard to win her attention and affection while doing the opposite of impressing her eventually pushing her away. It was astonishing to know they hurled hurtful words while in reality they vied for each others affection. The chapters that mentioned both of their POV at a particular event such as, the New Year where gifts were exchanged, were well written. The struggle within the Royal family house and the gore of battles are vividly pictured. The journey of Camilla and William where they find one another, break one another and eventually find happiness with each another despite all the odds, pain, struggle, betrayal and sacrifice is exceptionally well written. I'm deeply saddened to see their story ending as I enjoyed their journey too much that I'm still unwilling to part with them πŸ˜” The pulled my heartstrings like no other πŸ’• Dear author, you made me want to live this life to the fullest without fretting about the past or brooding regarding the future. You made me want to live hopefully. I've never felt such overwhelming emotions while reading a book before.Thank you for writing such a wonderful story that is close to my heart πŸ˜˜β€πŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ Volume ll: Volume ll is everything that Volume l is not. Lady Violet and Lady Ilse, nobility in name only, whose only worries were to have full belly and proper shield from the biting cold of winter, were used as a pawn to attain riches by those who sired them and their lives turned from bad to worse since their visit to the Royal Castle of Islia, Magdaline Castle. One's blunt and and arrogant whilst the other's warm and kind. Both sister's personality is akin to day and night. As the darkness consumes one's soul, the light leaves from the other. The bitterness of envy overshadowed a lifetime of love between the sisters over someone who wasn't even worth the effort and the sisters lost each other forever, irreconcilable. Violet's ambition and envy cost her very soul, Ilse, and while she emerged victorious winning her prize, all she felt was bitter pain and a gaping void in her heart. Even if Violet never acted out of envy towards her sister they would not have been happy but they atleast would have had each other. Sadly we could not even feel much sadness for Violet as her hellish life was her own making. Despite rising to the position powerful next to Queen herself, she lived in resentment and envy over every others' fortune. This Volume ll is rather a difficult read for me as it is completely written from Violet's POV who's s portrayed as nothing short of an antagonist and I cannot comprehend the difficulty the author faced in writing such a dark character who unfortunately never found true happiness. Violet's conversation with Prince Johan in Chapter 258 is one of my favorites. The man whom I  despised in Volume l surprisingly looked extremely wise and understanding in Volume ll. It's a shade in him that I never know could exist. No wonder he he was an expert in diplomatic negotiations. The man could gouge the deepest desires of a person with surprising ease. The bitterness and envy in Violet could not be held in utter contempt by anybody reading Volume ll as those feelings are no stranger to us. Always know your self worth and stop comparing yourself with others, that would stop you from resenting others. It may not be easy but it definitely works. It did work for me. Everybody has different strengths and weaknesses. Sharpen your strength but also turn your weakness into a strength and wield them as you deem fit. Only when you brood over your weakness do you feed your envy over others' strength where you lose yourself over a meaningless competition that never existed. And always be grateful to what you have lest you lose them too just like Violet lost everything that she held dear. P.S.:  The book contains violence, bit of gore and also rape circumstances It took me over a week to write this review and my emotions are still all over the place.

The author is very talented and dedicated to this superb historical novel. I have been hooked from the beginning. She has a unique way with her writing that captivates and heightens the story. She updates daily without fail and engages with her readers. For her first novel, she has set the bar pretty high for herself and her (hopeful) future novels. No errors and giving multi perspectives makes this midevil love story a true enjoyment to read. She has brought out every emotion I have. I cannot get enough of this and it has quickly become a favorite. I can promise if you read it, you will enjoy it as much as I do. I am looking forward to her future works and am a fan for sure.

I've only gotten through the initial five chapters, but I'm already hooked. There's this character, William Devon, and he's got this whole "trying to figure things out" vibe that I totally get. It reminds me of those awkward moments we've all had trying to fit in. And then there's Camilla, dealing with homesickness, and it just feels so genuine. The story's got this mix of royal drama and real emotions, which I think is pretty cool. I'm not usually one to gush about books, but I genuinely think this one's worth checking out. It's been a great escape for me, and I reckon others might enjoy it too.
