Chapter 6: Mutant Creatures
Having decided his mind, the remaining giant lances also swished through the air, ruthlessly piercing into the giant Golden Eagle.
The wings of the Giant Golden Eagle were indeed invulnerable. But, Xuan Wu did not believe that the other areas that were covered by the feathers had the same level of defense.

With a violent shout, the huge green lances, now twisted to a certain degree, unleashed the accumulated power they had gathered.

Seeing their now nerved expressions Xuan Wu let out a sigh of relief.

Now that I have 70 Evolution Points, you guys can get stronger too!" Xuan Wu curled one of his limbs, looking almost like he clenched his fist.
"Eat! Eat more!" Xuan Wu extended several of his limbs towards the animals with several limbs.

All of their mouths opened as wide as possible with excited cries, the creatures immediately sprang up, intently at the tips of Xuan Wu's tentacles. There, drops of a glassy liquid were seeping out.

A shadowy object had flattened the entire area.
The impact had launched dust clouds as high as hundreds of meters into the air.

It seemed that somehow Xuan Wu had barely managed to block the attack!
As the dust cleared a little one would eventually be able to see the faint outline of a slender creature emerge from the debris..
Its yellow eyes shone and pierced through all the dust and with scales as dark as the abyss, the giant snake's body was coiled and bathed in an eerie purple hue, Yet, what truly set this immense creature apart were the razor-sharp blades that adorned its head and tail. Rising like wicked axes, these lethal appendages lended an aura of danger and ferocity to the serpent's already imposing form!
Xuan Wu's current state was miserable, with his once formidable limbs reduced to a pitiful sight. Severed and wounded, some of his appendages bore deep gashes half their width!
"Half of my limbs are gone ! ! I Can only use about 6 now!"

Xuan Wu sighed in exasperation, words left unspoken. He had even used his enhanced limb to defend yet it was only barely enough.
The dust clouds swirled as the snake swiftly coiled around the entire area, completely restricting Xuan Wu!
"I…wasn't even able to sense it approaching me!
I was too immersed in victory till now!
Tch! Not like this!" Sweat dripped from his forehead as Xuan Wu cursed.
This bastard.
It's also hiding its aura.…
Though he was already in a difficult situation, there was also one thing that disturbed him the most.

The wounds he had received were all reacting with his body's solution!
This snake could use venom!

With blistering speed, its entire body rushed forward, each sinuous motion leaving an echo of power and danger in its wake.
"You guys stay back!"
This time, with a stabbing motion, the snake's tail lashed out at Xuan Wu, aiming to strike him with its venomous blade.
*Thoom!
A thunderous blast reverberated through the air, stirring up the swirling particles of dust as the impact found its mark.

The snake's eyes widened.

'What a strong impact!'
Xuan Wu endured as the blades dug into his tentacles, the main worry in his heart came true as the venom was searing his limbs!
"Don't underestimate me! Your father here is also on the same level as you!"

The snake prepared yet another attack, its bladed tail rearing moving quickly.

Xuan Wu rapidly began his assault upon the snake!

With movements so fast that not even the human eye could perceive, several tendrils aimed straight for the snake's body, all enveloped with a deadly killing intent.
*Thrust! *Thrust! *Boom!
"Kch! Stop moving you bastard!"
Xuan Wu became agitated as he couldn't seem to hit the snake!
Even if the ground trembled beneath the snakes massive weight, its speed wasn't something that regular beings could contend with!
Everytime Xuan Wu had an opening, the snake would try to attack him with its blade, and with his movement speed being basically nonexistent in a fight like this, he couldn't hope to evade the strikes and simply had to repel them with many of his limbs, thus allowing the snake to successfully slip past Xuan Wu's offenses!
At the end of the day, a slime was still just a slime.
Yes.
Xuan Wu was powerless here.

'Powerless?'
'Bullshit!'
Xuan Wu roared furiously!
*Boom!

He stabbed his tentacles in the ground and catapulted himself around the battlefield like a slingshot!
"Like this you can't do your dirty trick anymore!" His movements were erratic and agile, accelerating and slowing down at a random pace!
The Snake was indeed pressured by Xuan Wu like this, several of his attacks were now landing!
"Kaa!" The snake hissed at Xuan Wu madly, ramping up its speed even more as it tried slamming Xuan Wu down.
"Huu huu…!" Though Xuan Wu now could evade the snake better, he could not totally keep up.
His movement was limited to that of a straight line, with a trajectory that was fixed, of course the snake being more nimble, he couldn't restrain it at all! Besides that, by this point the poison from the snake seemed to be straining his entire body..
"I'll have to end this quick!
With a last push, he hurled himself towards the snake.
The snake could anticipate this and was ready with its counterattack.
With all of Xuan Wu's tentacles busy restraining its tail, its mouth was free to attack!
"Kaaa!"
The two creatures collided, with Xuan Wu holding back the snake's massive tail.
Yet…
"!?"
The snake was shocked as it felt a strong tendril rap around its neck, preventing it from moving forwards any further.
Xuan had enhanced another Tentacle at the perfect moment, throwing off the snake's expectations!
"Caught...you…off…guard!" With one final heaven he tossed the entire snake to the backwards, stunning it for just a few moments.
"Enhance Everything!"
6 Enhanced Tentacles!
Hit a snake 7 inches below its head!
It's time for you to die!
*BOOM!
With all his strength Xuan Wu concentrated all his power into a singular point in the snake's neck, breaking many of his limbs in the process.
The snake let out a loud screech that could be heard for kilometers and its body faltered and swayed.

'The attack didn't go all the away!
It just made a hole!'
Damn it! What's happening! Why aren't my attacks going through!
"..." The snake once again shakily rose up high in the air with its intimidating body..
By this point Xuan Wu's body was already in a dismal state as all the attacks and poison had taken a toll on his body, all his limbs were also stressed to the point of exhaustion.
'I can't let it get to me!'
He eyed the snake, looking at the blood dripping from its open mouth and tired eyes, he could tell that it was just as fatigued as he was.
"I mustn't show my weak side!
I have to unleash a strong murderous aura!"

A strong crimson halo was emitted by him as his limbs were whipping and crashing throughout all the debris from their fight.
The radiating energy enveloping him appeared to surge outward, generating an intense force akin to a shockwave that compelled the snake to narrow its eyes slightly,
"Tssss…"Looking at Xuan Wu one last time, the snake hissed, eventually turning its head away and began to leave the area..

Xuan Wu had noticed his bone shard looked slightly different during his last bout with the snake, he wondered whether the system had enhanced it as well.
But even so it seemed that even the bone piece inside Xuan Wu had sustained heavy damages.
