Chapter 81: Heathrow

With practiced stealth, Jayce and Zane advanced through the forest. As they moved further down the path, Zane's acute senses picked up on subtle movements ahead. He turned to Jayce and whispered, "Movement up ahead, about thirty meters away."

Jayce nodded in acknowledgment. "Circle around, but don't get yourself discovered. I'll follow closely behind."

Zane swiftly vanished into the underbrush, his lithe form melding into the shadows. Jayce, meanwhile, continued forward with utmost caution, sticking to the shadows and using his newfound skills of subterfuge.

Soon, he breached the edge of the forest, and the sight that greeted him was nothing short of astonishing. Before him, a massive figure, a tower of a man, stood his ground, raising a colossal shield to defend against a monstrous creature that seemed plucked from the darkest recesses of a nightmare.
