Chapter 89: Recruiting Damir

I stopped in my tracks and, after a moment of contemplation, I relented, "Sigh, it's nothing... Oh, but there is something important I need to talk to you. Follow me back to my cell," I said turning around and walking back up the stairs, leading him into the luxurious room where Damir had shown me their handiwork.

As we entered the room, Damir was still seated on the bed, alone. When his gaze met mine, he immediately stood up, a hint of concern in his eyes. "Dionis, did I say something wrong?" he inquired, sounding somewhat anxious.

I shook my head, gesturing for him to relax. "No, you didn't say anything wrong. And sit back down I need to talk to you both," I reassured him, my outstretched palm signaling that everything was fine. "Zehar, sit beside Damir,"

Zehar hesitated for a moment, clearly reluctant, before finally taking a seat on the bed. I placed a chair in front of the two of them and settled in.
