Chapter 84: In Her Room

She was glad, at the same time, sad and wondered how one could have such conflicting emotions all at once. It was confusing. She was confused. What Jaden had said to the lady,  whose name she had come to know as Eliza, kept ringing in her mind. So what exactly had happened between them? 

Zuri thought that he would explain some things she was sure he knew disoriented her, but Jaden was there asking her about her job. He was right though – she knew that much. What had she been thinking? What had she been brought to Transmere for? What had she been torn away from her dear father for? To serve. And that was what she would do, from now onward.
