Chapter 79: Show Of Mercy

Albert wondered how strong the dagger used on Raymond must have been. Raymond was the most powerful vampire in Transmere and the dagger had kept him in this state. Albert was sure that if the dagger was used on a common vampire, it would have resulted in its death in a twinkle of an eye.

Albert watched as the light that engulfed the dagger began to melt it away. It began with its hilt and worked its way to the blade. He had felt the movement in Raymond's hands and Albert could hardly contain his excitement.

"What are you doing, Sir Albert?" one of the servants called from behind the door as he rapped his knuckles on the door. The action portrayed the fear the servant had as he kept looking behind him watching to see if the queen would enter the chambers.

"Sir Albert! Sir Albert!" the servant called over and over again.
