Chapter 44: Some Changes

"Jaden…" Jessica called as she shot him a look and rolled her eyes at her brother.

"We will look into this issue, Mr. Jeffery. You can rest assured that this would not happen again. Not under my watch I will see to it personally. We are vampires and we take pride in covenants and agreements…" Stephan said.

"I am most relieved to hear that, Prince Stephan, and I'm sure the people of Bellmare will be able to sleep with both eyes closed now."

"I would like to see you privately after this meeting if you don't mind…" Stephan said again.

"Sure… " Jeffery replied.

"So that concludes that…" Sir Tyrian said.

"I will convey this meeting and the conclusion we have come, to the council…" Keith said as he picked up his large book from the table and walked out with Tyrian by his side.

Just before Tyrian stepped out the door, he looked back at Kane and motioned to have a word.
