After walking for a while, Storm arrived at his destination: a two-story wooden shack located beside a clear stream and surrounded by tall trees. He paused in front of the structure for a while, scrutinizing it while his ears and senses listened for the presence of the people he was supposed to meet there.
Moments later, he advanced further toward the house, having sensed what he wanted to sense. His expression remained unreadable even as he walked up to the door.
The wooden barrier gave way with no effort from him, giving him access to the interior part of the house where he immediately sighted Zuri and an unknown lady whose back was facing him, standing beside the fireplace.
"We've been waiting for you. Shall we begin?" Zuri uttered, directing the last part of his words to the woman, who nodded before turning around to look at Storm, a shy grin playing on her lips.
Happy New Year to you all my readers. I apologize once again for the sudden break. I really can't explain what happened, but I crave your forgiveness. It's been extremely tough and rough. This year will be better. XO
