Chapter 71: Aftermath
It has been two days since the Straw Hat Pirates absolutely decimated the Arlong Pirates.
It was night time and everybody was partying. Luffy ran away from the party and ran around the place.
He arrived at a place and saw Genzo standing in front of a grave. It consisted of a simple, makeshift wooden cross made by two logs tied together.
It was the grave of Bell-mère, the mother of Nami and Nojiko. "Heh. There's no food right here." Luffy grumbled.
"Wait a minute kid! " Genzo shouted at him. Luffy turned back to look at him.
He then arrived beside him and looked at the grave. "I would like to offer my condolences." Luffy muttered to Genzo who hummed.
" Mugiwara. Nami will go and become a pirate with you, which would be a very dangerous trip for her. If you hurt her feelings, I will kill you! " Genzo glared at Luffy who laughed.
" Do you understand?! " Genzo shouted at him.
" Ok ok, I get it old man. Damn!" Luffy grumbled. Genzo nodded.

The next day, Luffy was reading Garp's diaries when suddenly Nami and Nojiko approached him.
Nami was shy while Nojiko was smirking. "Go on, sis. Tell him what you want to say." Nojiko pushed Nami to Luffy. Nami fiddled her fingers shyly while having a blush on her face.
"I just wanna say uh.... Th-thank you for helping me...." Nami muttered. Luffy grinned and patted her head.
"No worries, Nami. I'll always be there for you whenever you need me to." Luffy promised, making Nami blush even more.
"U-umm.... Luffy.... Can you lean in a little. I wanna tell you something secret...." Nami stuttered out. Luffy shrugged and leaned in.
Nami leaned in too.
" Chu~!"
She kissed him on the cheek. Luffy looked at her with a surprised expression. Nami blushed up a storm. "I uhh... That's my way of saying thank you...." Nami smiled at him. Luffy grinned back at her.
" Ugh, Nami. You're too shy. You have to be more bold. Like this! " Nojiko grabbed Luffy's shirt collar and pulled him down. What she did next shocked Nami.
" Chu~!" Nojiko moaned as she started kissing Luffy who was in shock too.
"Oi! Nojiko! What's the meaning of this!" Nami shouted. Nojiko released the kiss and smirked at her.
"You're not the only one who likes him after he defeated Arlong, Nami." Nojiko explained. Luffy was looking at both of them with a confused face.
" How about we share him, Nami?" Nojiko asked, shocking Nami.
"What?! No way!" Nami replied.
"Um.... Do I get a say in this?" Luffy asked them.
"No!!" They both replied, making Luffy sigh. He went back to reading Garp's diaries while the two sisters were arguing in the background.

A few hours later.....
Luffy had suddenly called for an emergency meeting. The Straw Hat Pirates including Nami who had fully joined the crew now were gathered in the meeting room and waited for Luffy to say something.
"I have something important to tell you all. Apparently, we're too weak for the Grand Line." Luffy revealed, shocking them.
"What I mean is that in our current strength, we would not even match the weakest pirate group in the Grand Line. That's why I made a plan, we will be remaining in the East Blue training for 3 and a half months. " Luffy declared. Zoro nodded.
" I don't see why we should complain at all. I'm in." Zoro agreed with Luffy's plan. Everyone nodded at Luffy.
"Alright great, and also I want to tell you another secret about the Grand Line I just learned recently." Luffy continued, intriguing them.
"Hav you guys heard about Haki?" Luffy asked them. When they all shook their heads as their answer, Luffy nodded and started explaining about what it was.
Haki is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own spiritual energy for various purposes.
All living beings in the world are capable of learning Haki; however, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it.
Haki users are common in the New World, rare in Paradise, and basically non-existent in the Four Blues.
There are three different types of Haki that can be used to sense people's spiritual energy and predict their actions, give the user a protective coating of spiritual energy, and, for a certain group of 'chosen ones', overpower the willpower of others. Luffy then started explaining what those three types were.
Busoshoku Haki is a form of Haki that allows the user to use their own spiritual energy to create, in essence, a piece of armor around themselves, providing incredible offensive and defensive capabilities.
Notably, this form of Haki can be used to injure Devil Fruit users that are otherwise immune to ordinary physical attacks, such as Logia users.
Kenbunshoku Haki is a form of Haki that grants the user a sixth sense that allows them to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others, as well as gain limited precognitive abilities.
Then there is Haoshoku Haki which is a rare form of Haki that allows the user to exert their own willpower over others.
This type of Haki cannot be attained through training and only one in several million people are born with this ability.
It is said that whoever possesses this type of Haki has the qualities of a king, and are known as Supreme Rulers. Haoshoku Haki is considered an extremely dangerous threat and a highly valuable asset by powerful groups such as the Marine Admirals and the Four Emperors.
"The people in the Grand Line have these abilities. The big leagues like the Yonko all have Haoshoku Haki. If we are to survive out there, we need to learn this as soon as possible." Luffy explained seriously.
"You said it yourself, it takes a lot of time to even master the basics of Haki. " Nami muttered.
" That's why we start as soon as possible. " Luffy replied to Nami.
" Question, how do you know all of these things? " Usopp asked him. Luffy grinned.
" Not telling, Shishishishi!!!!"
"Guys!!"
Everyone looked at Nojiko who walked into the room while holding a newspaper. "Nojiko? How did you get in here?" Nami asked her.
"You left the front door to this room open. Plus, it was pretty easy to jump to your ship. " Nojiko replied and handed her the newspaper.
Nami read the headline of the newspaper and widened her eyes. "Guys, look!" Nami showed them the newspaper.
'Straw Hat Pirates have become the new leading pirate group in the East Blue. Is this a sign of a new age?'
"It's about our fight with the Arlong Pirates." Zoro mumbled. Suddenly, a few brown colored papers fell out of the newspaper. They immediately recognized it as wanted posters.
Luffy grinned and grabbed the one with his name on it. He laughed and showed everyone his bounty.

Nami was in shock. Zoro smirked and showed his own wanted poster to everyone.

"Nami-swan! Look at this!!" Sanji shouted happily while showing his own wanted poster.

"Um.... Does this mean something?" Usopp asked them while showing his own wanted poster.

Luffy laughed and clapped his hands. Nami was absolutely shocked. "50 million Belly, that's so much Berry!" Nami muttered while her eyes changed into Belly symbols. Nojiko giggled.
"Nami, you're in greedy mode again. And congratulations to you all, I think you guys deserved your bounties after what you did here." Nojiko congratulated them.
" Ah! Getting congratulated by a beautiful girl!! This made my day already!! " Sanji shouted while having hearts in his eyes.
"And what's this?" Nami muttered while picking up another wanted poster.
"Oh.... my..... God....." Nami whispered. It was her own wanted poster.

She has a bounty for her past affiliations with Arlong and her godly navigation skills contributed to it too.
While Nami was in shock, Luffy started adding up all of the bounties. "Hmm..... Mine's, Zoro's, Usopp's, Sanji's, and Nami's bounties all add up to..... Holy crap!!!" Luffy shouted, getting everyone's attention.
"What is it, Luffy? " Zoro asked him. Luffy grinned at her.
" Our bounties added together are a total of 118,550,000 Belly!!!! Zoro!!! We're so famous now!!! Shishishishishi!!!! "
