Setting the teeth down on the table before him, Ethan closed his eyes, taking a moment to center his thoughts and emotions. In the past, casting such a protective shield would have required extensive concentration and effort, but now it flowed more naturally, a testament to his growing expertise.

"But then again, my assumptions were just that—assumptions," Ethan mused, his thoughts interrupted by the sudden gathering of golden sparks around the teeth. Intricate circles formed, their patterns glowing with increasing intensity. Sensing the need for a closer examination, Ethan reentered his physical body, unaware of the imminent danger that awaited.

just a reminder that it's not a Nerf. more like training weights. of course, I am talking about the next chapter. also, I have been busy with job interviews this past so I haven't had the chance to stockpile chapters which is why my other fanfics like the spell tree fanfic and the immortal fanfic haven't had that many updates lately.
