Chapter 29: Challenging the league
Vishal just worked in office rather than go on other killing spree for other 3 weeks.
"The day has finally come. I will not individually go and fight the league because I have more important things to do like the supernatural side of Gotham and wiping out other rogues in other parts of the country." said Vishal.
"You should've done it a week after you beat Batman host." said the system.
"That will be a risk because if the white house were to send special forces against me, I would have to retaliate against them just because they are doing their duty they would get beaten and lose lives in my hands." said Vishal.
"Point taken." said the system.
"They were already wetting their pants because of the fear that Mystical Punisher may appear again but I've given them shock in different way because I hunted down rogues and wiped out prisoners.
I would directly challenge the league rather than getting blood of those soldiers in my hands." said Vishal putting his pointed finger on mouth thinking.
"You're just as stubborn to not get innocent blood on your hands just like Batman's no killing rule.
Maybe but if a zombie apocalypse or anything like that occurs I'll break that rule to survive." said Vishal.
"I am stubborn if something like that doesn't happen because we're living not surviving. Two different scenarios." replied Vishal.
"Atleast you're clear with your intentions host." said system not to argue more.
He was idly sitting in his own office as he has completed two days work in 4 hours with the increase in agility and eidetic memory.

"Well atleast when I enter A then I can be called handsome but this is not bad." said Vishal admiring his face like a woman in front of mirror.

"Copying powers of some of those guys might help me jump into A in charm." said Vishal.
"You're too obsessed with the charm stat host." said the system.
"I should be worried because i my last life I was single till my end because of my crusade on crime. Atleast in this life I want to date someone. Marry them and also continue my crusade." said Vishal sighing.
System could only feel pity for him because girls aren't attracted towards him because of average looks he had. Maybe with the changes in his looks he can attract some girls.
"Should've gone to school host? Atleast some girls would have fallen for you." said the system.
"Maybe, but I don't want to go through those sleep inducing classes and day dream inducing instructors over there." said Vishal.
"A voice came from the communicator. The receptionist said "Mr Vishal, a new girl has been hired as a secretary to you. She will be starting her work from tomorrow."
"Very well. Send her details to my mail. I'll check it out." said Vishal.
"On it." said the receptionist Bianca Walter.
"The previous secretary had died in an accident to hire a new one." said the system.
He opened his "A mail" to check the details. As soon as he checked the name his eyes widened.
"What's happening here?" asked Vishal to system.
"It isn't something unexpected based on the changes you have done, host." said the system.
Vishal sighed and looked at the name "Carla Beaumont".
"Father name is Timothy Carter (Deceased) and mother's name is Andrea Beaumont." Vishal spelled out.
"Phantasm didn't appear in Injustice comics. The story here is quite different because her father's name is someone different. I didn't remember her having any child even in other universes." said Vishal.
"Every universe has it's own story host." said system hurriedly.
"Wait, Is there something you know?" asked Vishal suspiciously.
"My lips are sealed host. You have to find it out yourself." said system going calm.
"She is just as young as me. Did she come with special circumstances?" Vishal scrolled down to the end to see the confirmation.
"You've been naughty system. Making matchmaking for me." said Vishal dimming his eyes.
System whistled as if it did nothing wrong.
Vishal sighed.
"Tell me there the reason why I need to get hitched to her." asked Vishal.
"I can't tell you the reason but she is resourceful like her mother. Andrea could not take up the mantle because she lost her legs in the attack in which Timothy carter died.
Carla has been searching for the rogue who has done that. She has been hunting down criminals secretly while doing that." said the system.
Two documents were sent through mail. He opened the other document and Vishal saw her photo and he felt his heaart skip a beat.
"She's beautiful" said Vishal as he whistled.
She has her mother's orange hair and red lips. She has black eyes unlike her mother. Since it is a passport size photo he couldn't see her body.
"The thing is if I am suitable for her." said Vishal.
"You go and beat justice league and increase your charm to A host. Though it is just a precaution since a girl like her doesn't put much weight into your charm." said the system.
"I doubt that." said Vishal.
"But atleast for my heart's sake I'll increase the charm to A." said Vishal.
"That's the spirit host." said system urging him.
"I hope I don't regret this afterwards." said Vishal.
At 3 o clock he left the office and made way to his own house. He waited an hour to sneak into sewers where he wore his repaired armor and helmet along with cloak.
Casting invisibility he flew to Sahara desert.
In the watch tower...
"Any news of vigilante?" asked Batman to Mr. Terrific who was monitoring.
"No. He disappeared just like Mystical Punisher." said Mr Terrific.
"Do they have any grudge towards Gotham and Metropolis? They always make a mess there." said Damien.
No one could answer it.
"Wait. Someone's hacked into our network" said Terrific.
The screens showed the face of the guy they are searching.
"Justice League. I am Vigilante." said Vishal.
"Triangulate his location." said Batman.
"No need to search for me. I am over the Sahara Desert. I am challenging the league privately to come fight me and capture me.
Since I kicked your Batman's ass you have this opportunity to get retribution. If you think this is a trap then you need not worry because I swear on my mother's name.
If you are still doubting my words you can ask Batman if I am lying.
As for the reason I am challenging you is because I want to show you that I am too powerful for you guys to handle. I'll be waiting. Come at me with all your powers, machines and gadgets. Toodles." said Vishal as he cut the connection.
"Isn't he too over his head?" asked Dick.
"No time for that. He is trying to lure us into a trap" said Superman.
"No." said Batman.
"He is not ashamed to admit he killed the villains so why would he lie about it? I know one thing. He is not like Joker or the rogues. If he wants to surrender he will surrender and if he wants to fight he will fight. But we need to have some back up." said Batman.
"Half of the league will make way to the location while the other half will be here." ordered Batman.
The core members nodded as they selected members to make way there to Sahara desert. Batman and his team were in tower.
They were teleported to the desert where they saw a figure standing in sky.
They came and stood in front of him. "You've done enough Vigilante. Surrender yourself or we'll beat you until you surrender." said GL.
"I prefer Atrocitus over you and Sinestro. Atleast he has his intentions straight of ripping you apart." said Vishal.
"You're murdering people. What makes you different from Joker?" asked Superman frowning.
"So the boy scout in blue lectures me. Then let me askyou something? Answer me honestly." said Vishal.
"What?"
"Did the neighbourhood you grew up had rampant crime or crime lords or rogues or even a maniac like Joker?" asked Vishal chuckling.
Superman went silent. Vishal got irritated shouted "ANSWER ME. ANSWER THE QUESTION, DAMN IT?"
Superman replied meekly "No".
"Then how would you expect the guys growing in such places have a idealistic view like you when all they see is death staring at them in the form of crime?" asked Vishal.
Vishal turned to Amazonian and said "Wonder Slut. Nice to meet you."
Many females were shocked at the guy.
"What did you say?" growled Wonder Woman.
"Slut, slutty, sluttier Wonder Woman." said Vishal.
Wonder Woman could not control and came at him with her sword and shield.
She was about to stab him when he hit the shield with very less power causing the shield to break.
"If I use that power on your face. Your skull will crack." said Vishal.
"I don't hesitate because you're a woman because one of the legends said a powerful quote"I am an advocate of true gender equality. I have no patience for one who talk about female privilege when it suits them and then complain about someone not being a man when it's convenient."" recited Vishal before kicking her face.
"Justice League attack." shouted Superman.
