Ina put down the fork with the bit of meat she was taking to her mouth and looked sternly at Kier. "As in the Green Madness?"
"That's the one." Unlike Ina, Kier ate with his hands. He tore his meat and took a couple of fries with it. Chewing, he looked at Ina with innocent eyes.
"Would you be able to control it if you learned its Runic form? Impose it on others?"
"Yes."
Kier's forthright answer angered Ina. Still, she spoke calmly, but stood up and walked to the shelf with her bottled potions.
"I don't think anyone should know that, Kier. I don't think you should look for it and I would not allow you to search for it, should it be in my power to stop you."
"I agree with you," again, Kier answered bluntly and lightly. "I still need it, though. It might well be in your power to stop me, but I think I've earned enough of your trust by now."
Ina took a small vial to drop it on the floor. A black light permeated everything for a second, and it was gone. "I'm not sure," she said.
