With a growl, I charge the woman who blasts me with another electrical current. Once again I'm stunned, though this time I'm able to slightly push through the muscle spasms. The woman then tosses the quickly-made Molotov which ignites the room on fire. Just as I reach her, she kicks, but with the electricity in my body slowing me down I can't react in time. This knocks me back into the fire which engulfs my right arm.
"Fucking bitch!!" I yell with a growl of deep annoyance.
I then charge toward her as she is running away, she sends another blast toward me. However, this time, I sidestep the blast just in time and close the distance between us. She ducks just in time as I swung a right hook toward her face. She then punches me in the stomach. She has a lot more strength than a normal person, but not enough to faze me as I just grunt and then knee her in the gut.
She grunts in pain and is trying to catch her breath from the air being knocked out of her lungs. Not giving her a moment of reprieve, I bring both my hands down together on the back of her head. This knocks her to the ground cracking the ground and making her cry out in pain as the ground is bloodied by a split open head wound.
"Now I have some ques–" I start to say since I want to know who the hell she is.
Just as I was about to tie her up, she released another extremely high-voltage attack at me. One I couldn't dodge due to the close range, I yelled in anger and pain as the electricity ran rampant through my body. She quickly stood up and began retreating again.
"I'm gonna kill you bitch!" I yell at her as my anger spikes and I charge toward her.
She is quickly running away now, looking back at me with fear in her eyes. As I was half on fire still and burning, but my flesh healed just as fast as it was burning up. Leaving me perpetually on fire. This time my anger made me slightly reckless as it was running very high.
I jumped toward her as she scrambled through another doorway in the area. I swiped out toward her just barely scratching her across the back. Making her cry out in pain and looking back for a second seeing my claws covered in her blood. She then blasts me and the window in front of her.
With a growl, I easily push the pain aside this time, though it is still making me slow down due to my muscles spasming. The window shatters open and just as she leaps out of it, I jump toward her swiping at her. This time she doesn't escape in time as I cut through her left leg taking half of it off.
She falls to the ground outside and screaming in pain, I grab her severed leg and jump to the ground. Fear completely engulfs her face as she cauterizes her stump before blasting into the air. I jump up after her and swipe at her one more time just missing her by a few centimeters. I land back on the ground as she quickly flies off with her electricity cloaking her.
"You forgot your leg whore!!!" I say while throwing her leg in her direction but she is already long gone.
Turning back I look to see my men are subduing the fire, I then pat out my right arm which was on fire. I jump back inside through the window and walk toward the office, there I see a medic tending to Collier. Though medic just covers his head with a coak since he was killed the moment that woman appeared electrocuting him to death.
"How much did the fire consume?" I ask while looking down at Collier taking his dog tags and pocketing them. I might not show it, but I was very saddened by his death since we grew close during our time together.
"The doctor and Commander's office," one of my men says as the medic and another soldier carry Collier's body outside.
"I want that place turned upside down and anything inside that is still intact brought to me. And I mean anything and everything that isn't destroyed," I say as my soldier nods his head before grabbing more to search both offices.
'There is a reason some random super-powered bitch showed up. If I can't ask her, then hopefully I can figure out what it was,' I think while following after the medic and the other soldier carrying out Collier's body. They place Collier alongside the other few men who died taking this place.
"Tell his squad to come over," I say to the soldier who helped the medic, giving me a quick nod before jogging off. With the medic walking off to help the other wounded.
His squad then come over and look down at him, they each are looking down in sadness. Trying to hold back some tears, but a few escape their eyes. I pat their shoulders in comfort.
"What happened?" Garcia the Corporal of the squad asks me as the other look to me for information.
"A German spy, I assume was hiding somewhere. They jumped us and I almost got them but they ran off," I say since it appears no one saw the crazy bitch, but definitely heard the fight.
"We gotta go find that sumbitch!" Red the machine gunner of the squad says.
"Can't they are long gone and I can't afford to send anyone out as we have to secure the area and city right now," I say since it appears no one noticed the woman or the fight earlier. Seems my men ran toward the fire when it appeared, letting the woman escape unseen outside myself and Collier.
"Sir–" Bible is about to argue, but I hold my hand up stopping him.
"No means no, I understand you are all pissed about Collier's death. I am too, but right now we have other priorities and I promise I will find out who this person was. Then I will get our revenge," I say as they all fall silent and we all share a moment of sadness at Collier's passing.
"Then what was with that lightning storm a few minutes ago? It rainin', is it?," Coon-ass says breaking the silence and looking up at the sky with a few tears escaping his eyes.
"Wouldn't know… Garcia, when you are all done I want you and Bible to come talk with me," I say before looking down at Collier's face one last time, etching him into my memory.
Garcia and Bible nod, while I leave them and help organize the temporary care centers for the surviving people who were kept here. During this time my men were bringing everything they could find that survived the fire inside the two offices. Then Garcia and Bible walked over to me with reddened eyes after crying over Collier.
"Garcia, Collier spoke highly of you. I'll need a new Master Sergeant for the tank unit. You are the one I trust, so congrats you jumped a bunch of ranks. Though no one will argue your capabilities or my promotion," I say to Garcia giving him his new rank to put on his uniform.
"Bible, you're now a Tec/3. Congrats, you will be Garcia's assistant in all matters," I say giving him his new rank too.
"Your newest member and driver is named Private Norman Ellison," I say gesturing for the young man who always looks nervous and just like his movie counterpart to run over.
"Private, these are your new COs. Whatever they command you is the law, don't disappoint me or them," I say as the two stare down Norman making him shift back and forth under their gaze.
"Go get him situated," I say to them dismissing them as they two nod their heads, with Norman saluting me nervously before quickly following after his new squad leaders.
"Sir, this is everything," one of my men says showing the organized pill of half-burnt items.
From desks and chairs to paintings, and other common office items. The item I was most interested in was the half-burnt pile of papers. I walked over and grabbed them quickly flipping through them. Though they all seemed to be about the horrible goings of this place recently or the new orders sent from high command on their side. However, the last paper caught my attention with the bottom signature stating Dr. Frederick Vought.
"Vought…" I mumble to myself seeing his signature next to a Nazi insignia.
I pocketed the paper while giving the rest to be relayed to the command since it could help the war effort. I searched the rest of the area but found nothing else of interest. The rest of the day was spent securing the area and helping these suffering people slowly get better.
"Sir, the line is ready," one of my radio operators says as I nod my head and dismiss him.
'You there?' I asked in Morse code through the only secure way I could contact Eisenhower without outside interference.
'Yes, what is this about?' Eisenhower asked me back since relayed a message earlier about us needing to talk privately ASAP.
'I found a half-destroyed letter, with only the signature of Dr. Frederick Vought on it. He was a Nazi scientist wasn't he?' I say and a few minutes later Eisenhower responds.
'Yes he was,' Eisenhower says and even though I couldn't hear or see him, I knew he was now processing the information that he experimented at a camp here.
'Though what does that matter, outside him being a monster in human flesh?' Eisenhower says back as I think about the possibilities of this information.
'Not sure, though the Germans appear to have a super on their side. I was attacked by a woman who could shoot lightning out of her body. I was not able to kill her, though she did lose a leg in the process,' I say back to him making him go quiet for a while.
'Did anyone else see her?' Eisenhower says and I'm sure worried about the moral hit that men would suffer learning about a German superhero.
'None seemed to notice as they were busy with a fire she started. Though the only one outside myself who saw her was killed by her,' I say back and I could imagine the small relief Eisenhower must have felt then.
'I see… That is good, though I'm sorry for your man's life that was lost,' Eisenhower says back being truthful but honest.
'We are going to remain here securing the camp and Munich until reinforcements arrive. How long will that be?' I ask back changing the topic.
'A few weeks at best if not a month or two,' Eisenhower says as I sigh.
'Understood,' I say cutting off the communication.
I then tried to sleep, but my mind was occupied by the unknown woman and Collier's death. Though I did manage to get some sleep. My men and I then brought all the people from the camp to the city. Along with the dead that could be buried outside a place that was their tortured home for who knows how long.
Arriving in the city, Charles and I took over the leadership of the place. While making sure the German citizens didn't try to mess with the still-recovering Jews and other minorities. Finally, after about a month and a half later, reinforcements arrived taking over our duty. Charles and I then marched together North toward Berlin where all of the allies were marching to put an end to the war here in Europe.
