Chapter 11: Nine Turn Soul Dan?!
Jin Wu nodded and said "In that case, we can work together easily!" he clapped his hands and a maid appeared with a gentle smile. Jin Wu smiled, "Sis Li, can you get me the records and city layout along with all registered businesses, please?" Sis Li smiled and nodded, "Of course, young master." before she disappeared again.
Jin Wu rubbed his chin and said "How about this, bro. We'll divide the Teng Clan businesses up, after which I'll talk to the other clans to see if they can sell me their Alchemy stores. We'll start a Business called Everlasting Willow with a 50/50 split between me and you representing both Clans."
Jin Wu waved his hand, sprawling out a city layout, marking places with a pen, "The first goal is to replace all the Alchemy Stores with Everlasting Willow. The other clans might be upset about this but they'll get over it with different Businesses. If we want to make Golden Willow city more prosperous, we'll have to unify the city. The best way to do it is to interlock benefits with everyone."
Long Zi held his chin and looked at the city layout, nodding with a smile, "Junior brother has a keen sense for being a city lord." Jin Wu chuckled and replied, "It's really nothing, who wants to be city lord? If only my brothers believed me! I'm sure that this plane isn't the highest. How could it be possible that there's nothing above us?"
Long Zi paused and looked at him.
Jin Wu looked at the layout as he continued, "Qi Training, Foundation Building, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Void Crossing, Tribulation… Why are they named this? Especially the last two? Void Crossing? What Void are we crossing exactly? What Tribulation is coming? Forget it. This is clearly ascending to another plane. Even if you beat me to death, I wouldn't believe there was only 1 Plane."
He waved his hand as Mu Yu sat down, she ate as he went on, "Anyway, there's more than one plane, probably more than 2, what am I doing staying here as a city lord? To look at the people walk by? Sorry, that's not fun at all. I just want to have fun!"
Mu Yu nodded and laughed, "Same!" Jin Wu smiled at her before turning to the layout, "Anyway, bro, if we can take the City with us in the future, do it. If we can't then forget it, it doesn't matter anyway. But we need resources, right? That's why I'm saying we can start with Golden Willow city."
Long Zi looked at Jin Wu with newfound praise, this junior is quite intelligent! Just by hearing the name of the realms, he inferred there must be higher planes! Long Zi nodded in his heart and felt the feeling of cherishing talents, wanting to accept him as a disciple, but he never spoke it out.
This would come in the future anyway, first focus on this grand plan of his.
If the artifact was as magical as Jin Wu claimed, the amount of resources they would acquire would be astronomical! Not to mention the Alchemy business would be a huge boon for the Long Clan.
Jin Wu had an idea to take Golden Willow city to the next level.
It was simple.
Just make it a modern city.
Something this world had never seen before! The basic premise was that he would cooperate with all the Clans in the city at a 50/50 split in profits. The City Lord would have multiple avenues of income alone!
Jin Wu wanted to do lifestyle, alchemy, talismans, formations, everything. If the clans didn't agree, they could leave Golden Willow City. Jin Wu didn't care. If he could accomplish this task then the City Lord mansion would have dozens of income sources at 50/50 while the other clans all had 1 source of 50%
Who could even compare with the resources they would have at their disposal?
He never understood why everyone wanted everything, it didn't make sense. This was simply the most effective way, not only to keep the diversity of clans, but also strengthen the city as a whole. He would implement schools, police, hospital, fire departments…
He had big plans for Golden Willow city. It was only because of his family, otherwise why was he bursting his brain cells trying to figure out how to make everyone prosper? He had already started in this direction with the layout of the city changing drastically from what it was before. There were intersections, paved roads, sidewalks, etc.
There was even a plumbing system!
The next step was to start slowly changing the culture to something more modern, something like a Capital City of a Kingdom, but the King being the City Lord. Naturally, Jin Wu wouldn't allow anyone else to come into power.
This was the reason for the business ventures.
By pulling all the clans together through income avenues, they would never be able to compete in the first place, and they wouldn't need to because they would all have a ton of money!
After tha, only a bit of advertising was needed, and boom!
A huge metropolis would arise!
Jin Wu felt that this was a foolproof plan. There was no way it would fail, unless the clans were actually braindead.
He didn't calculate for that at any rate, who would be dumb enough to forget about benefits for symbolic power? It was ridiculous.
Just as they were discussing, Liu Ying walked over, smiling happily, "Little Wu~!" Jin Wu looked up and smiled happily, "Mom!" Liu Ying walked over and hugged him gently, "Are you well, baby?" Jin Wu smiled warmly and nodded, "Mhm!" as he leaned against her, hugging her tightly.
Liu Ying rubbed his back and looked at Mu Yu, smiling "Yu'er?" Mu Yu smiled sweetly, "Auntie." Liu Ying looked her up and down, her eyes lighting up, "Come, call me mother!" as she pulled Mu Yu in, hugging the duo tightly.
Mu Yu and Jin Wu's cheeks were pressed together as Long Zi looked on awkwardly.
Liu Ying looked at him and let the duo go, smiling "Little Zi? From the Long Clan?" Long Zi held his fists, "Madam City Lord." Liu Ying rubbed his head, smiling gently, "Such a handsome boy, do you have a wife?" Long Zi was stunned and shook his head, Liu Ying smiled happily, "Wei'er is also alone, Auntie will arrange a meeting."
Long Zi opened his mouth to refuse, but Liu Ying didn't let him, continuing "Little Wu, Wei'er is coming back today, play nice with Little Chen, okay?" Jin Wu smiled happily and nodded, "Okay, mom."
Jin Chen, on the ground, collapsed. Where was his fiancee?
Speak of the devil, Teng Lin fell from the sky and bonked on Jin Chen, knocking skulls as they both passed out.
Liu Ying looked over and gasped, "You hit her, little Wu?" Jin Wu nodded and Liu Ying waved her fist, sighing happily, "Good boy! This black bellied girl has long made this grandma upset! I'd have beat her to death if not for Chen's feelings!"
Long Zi's lips twitched and Mu Yu laughed, hugging Liu Ying's arm, "Auntie, you felt the same way?!" Liu Ying looked at her and they hugged, "Yu'er understands!" Mu Yu and Liu Ying hugged and cried, feeling a connection of kindred spirits.
Jin Wu's lips twitched. He and Long Zi shared a look before shaking their heads.
Mu Yu held out two pills, smiling "Wu'er said that Aunt and Uncle have a soul injury. These pills are from my Mu Clan, maye they can help." Liu Ying was stunned and Jin Wu glared at the pills, Long Zi was shocked, "Nine Turn Soul Dan?!"
Mu Yu was 'shocked', "Brother Long knows?" Long Zi coughed and waved, "Just a bit, just a bit… This pill will 100% cure soul injuries." Liu Ying was stunned and Mu Yu pushed the pills to her, smiling, "A gift for Auntie."
Liu Ying wanted to refuse, but Jin Wu took the pills, laughing, "Hahaha! Awesome! Now mom and that old fart can step into the Nascent Soul realm! Hahaha! My plans are unstoppable now! Hahahaha!"
He held his face and laughed at the sky as Mu Yu's lips twitched, "Otaku…" Jin Wu froze before shouting angrily, "I'm not!" Mu Yu butted heads with him, "Are too!" Jin Wu growled, "I'm not!" they went back and forth as Liu Ying's eyes glowed, very happy.
These two were so cute!
