Chapter 31: The future that Clark Saw

Clark reached out and touched the wrinkled hand of the old woman.

After a few seconds, his vision blurred.

It was as if the world had changed.

A scene of catastrophe like the beginning of a doomsday, the bloody dusk shrouded the sky, and pierced high-rise buildings, and collapsed houses, the fire was burning, and black smoke pierced into the sky like a column.

The crowd fled in all directions, and the voices of thousands of desperate cries pierced into his ears like the sound of hell.

There was a thick ravine shaped like it was drawn by a giant finger. Clark's whole body was in severe pain as if he had been hit by a meteorite. He was lying at the end of the ravine, looking up with difficulty.

A black-haired man wearing a black battle suit full of dark golden mysterious patterns, with a strong and slender body, slowly descended from the sky.

Half a meter away from the ground, the gravel on the ground spontaneously flew up to protect him like a celestial body.

The extremely strong momentum was like a majestic god descending on the world, overwhelming all people.

"David?"

Seeing such a terrible scene, and seeing his strange yet familiar brother, Clark was extremely shocked.

He seems to be in a dream, only capable of watching, not being able to use his body, and not even being capable of using speech, only having a limited perspective.

"Clark, look around."

David shook his head slightly with a lava-like red glow in his eyes.

"I didn't want to do this at first. You're so bad that you forced me to do this."

"What do you mean?"

Clark was shocked and puzzled. Did David do these things?

Thoughts flashed randomly, he refused to give in to David, David and he fought till the destruction of a city?

"Wait a minute, this looks like Metropolis!" Clark recognized it.

In the distance, on the top of the Daily Planet building, the iconic golden statue of the earth, looked as if it had been used as a weapon by someone, looked to be smashed through several buildings, and fell to the ground.

"Could it be that what I was worried about happened? David lost his power and went on the path of evil. I stood on the opposite side to stop him?" He wondered in his heart.

As if wanting to verify Clark's thoughts, he felt endless anger bursting out of his heart in the future, and the anger in his eyes was about to erupt like a volcano.

"Brother, you need to be corrected!"

The future self roared with an imposing and cold, and jumped up, punching his younger brother, like a god launching a charge against another hostile god.

Swish!

A lightning-like golden rope flew over in an instant, wrapping around his waist.

Almost at the same time, several green chains that seemed to be made of green crystal wrapped around his body like snakes, and several huge nails nailed the chains to the ground, preventing him from moving forward.

His forward movement was suddenly stopped and he was severely grabbed.

The body that flew like a cannonball stopped, and only set off a wave of air to spread away.

Only tens of centimeters away, the two were about to collide face to face, and David was suspended in the air without blinking.

"You need to be fixed, my brother."

"Who helped David?"

Clark wondered.

The future Clark turned his head angrily and saw a heroic and beautiful figure like a war goddess, wearing a crown and armored battle skirt, smashing the ground, and tightly grasping the golden rope.

On the other side, a brown-haired man in green luminous tights, with a serious face written on his usual casual smiling face, flew in mid-air, with an emerald-like ring emitting light on his hand, trying to maintain his chains and nails focusing on them not torn to pieces.

The two clenched their teeth, unable to speak a word with great difficulty, and went all out to catch the future Clark who was like a mad bull.

"David's helper?"

Clark was startled.

Are these David's evil allies? Or his minions?

Boom!

Before he could think about it, David came to him at lightning speed, punching him like a meteorite and knocking him back to the ground.

In the future, Clark's body slammed into a deep pit more than ten meters wide, and the turbulent force like a raging sea was transmitted to dozens of streets. Like an earthquake, several surrounding buildings kept shaking, and the glass was shattered one after another.

Snapped!

"What should I do?" came a deep and deep voice.

A hook was nailed to the wall of the building, and a bat-like figure swung over.

He opened his black bat-wing-like cloak and landed steadily on the ground, with a cold expression that no strangers should enter, and the dark temperament on his body was like the dark clouds over Gotham in the legend that would never dissipate, making people unconsciously feel oppressed and fear.

Clark originally doubted the reality of these futures, whether his younger brother had really embarked on the dark road, but suddenly the balance in his heart was shaken.

He looked carefully and thought that this bat monster really didn't look like a good person, as if he was born to be separated from the light.

Will the people who hang out with this type of guy be good people?

"Clark, if our parents see this scene, they will be very sad."

David frowned and raised his hand as if preparing to do something.

Click!

The vision suddenly shattered.

Clark's consciousness returned to reality, and the shocked Ms. Cassandra turned her head to look.

Cassandra opened her eyes as if predicting the end of the future, but she looked at David in surprise for the first time, and David showed some doubts.

Why did she look at himself this way, instead of looking at the future related to Clark?

Could it be that in Clark's future, she saw him as an alien?

"David, you...!"

Clark, who had just returned to reality, suddenly stood up.

...

A tall and sturdy chimney with a diameter of tens of meters stood on the ground.

Sean withdrew his palm from above the figure intoxicated, and at his feet, a dozen factory workers turned into ice sculptures with frightened faces.

Frost covered and froze a whole huge chimney.

Cold and returning to normal, constantly alternating, his strength rose to a higher level every time he absorbed enough heat.

Sean stopped his hands only when he felt a feeling of 'fullness'.

Now he feels extremely powerful!

Excitedly, he glanced at the dozen or so deflated brass bullets on the ground. The bullets hit his body earlier, and they couldn't even tickle him.

He couldn't imagine how powerful he was now.

Picking up a crowbar on the ground that was used as a weapon by a worker on patrol at the power plant.

crunch!

Tooth-piercing sound.

The crowbar was twisted into twists by terrible force.

"It's not the limit yet."

Sean pressed the twisted crowbar with both hands, exerting force, and the steel overflowed like mud between his fingers.

Seeing this scene, he was ecstatic and laughed uncontrollably.

The civilization of the modern world is almost built on steel, and almost nothing in the world is harder than steel.(T/N: This is from Sean's POV)

Now he is powerful enough to shake the whole world, and the police can't control him.

The town will be his playground from now, and he can do whatever he wants.

"What to start with?"

Go find a pretty girl and ask if she wants to experience his strong steel arms?

No!

A figure appeared in Sean's mind.

"David!"

The guy yesterday just cast a look and said a word, scaring him away.

He said a name full of resentment, "Do you think you are good at fighting?"

Thinking of how he walked away in fear in front of several people yesterday, Sean, who didn't want to think about this embarrassing thing at all, couldn't control himself at this moment. Angry and humiliated, he gritted his teeth: "I'm not who I was anymore."

What about beating a few football players, now he's alone against an armed army!

Leaving behind a lifeless ice sculpture, Sean clenched his fists and left the power plant, walking towards the Kent farm with a stern face.

"I promise, you'll regret treating me like that, David!"
