Chapter 71: Epiphany

The space that he was trapped in did not have a sense of time. But in his consciousness, he felt that he was staying in this dimension he called 'an abyss' for many days.

"This blue flame seems very mysterious. I am not yet sure why Master would want me to contemplate it but I feel certain changes in me, particularly with my fire element." He spoke as he conjured a flame out of his right palm. It started as a yellow fire, faint yet corporeal until it turned into crimson-red fire. The heat emanating from the flame was bearable.

Ian Slav managed to prolong the existence of the fire until it enlarged from his palm. Its size transformed into that of a roaring fire, engulfing all of his right arm and hand. His control of the flame was a result of his arduous practices since the time he started manipulating the fire element when he was seven years old.
