She looked weak, vulnerable and an absolute mess but she was still beautiful to Rhyland.

Rhyland's heart ached at the sight of her like this. Bruised and battered.

"Baby girl, it's okay. It will be alright." Rhyland said hoarsely. He cradled her in his arms as he said these words. He didn't know what else to say to make things better. Jeffrey would soon meet his doom but that didn't make Rhyland feel any better.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Aubrey cried. "I messed things up for us." The girl apologized profusely. "We had a plan but I did my own thing."

"Aww, baby girl dont think that." Rhyland refuted, but Aubrey wouldn't hear it and kept berating herself.

"No! I was so stupid! So so stupid! I even went ahead and got myself bitten." Aubrey lamented despondently. Rhyland was so nice he didn't even blame her for anything.
