"You heard me, Jerk!" Scarlet cursed, expressing her irritation by hissing and rolling her eyes. It was unbelievable that he was feigning ignorance, despite being the all-knowing Alpha he claimed to be.

Even if he claimed to be busy, Enoch was there to oversee the mansion's well-being. There was no excuse, he was undoubtedly lying. Unless, the perpetrators were wiser than their Alpha, which he would be too arrogant to acknowledge. Whatever the case could be, Scarlet wasn't fully convinced that Damien didn't know, or suspect something wrong was going on in the mansion. 

"Scarlet, I need a full account of what's happening. Who imprisoned Aurora? When did this happen? Is she alive?" He inquired, his fists clenched, imagining Aurora's current state. He had sensed something amiss all along, uncertain if it was mere hunch or a genuine feeling.
