Chapter 30: A new look

Aurora understood the underlying meaning of his comment about a 'particular friend' and decided to play along. 

"Actually, I was hoping to meet more than just a friend today. Thank you for your concern, Alpha," she responded politely, but he detected the mockery in her words. If he was bad then she was a badass, she enjoyed being a breeder, it was refreshing.

"At this rate, only Selena knows what will happen next. Everyone keeps changing," Dave blurted out, disappointed with how things were unfolding. First, it was his childhood stalker, and now it was the chef in their mansion.

"You were always so eager to get her off your back. Why does it sound like you are not happy about it?" Enoch couldn't resist taunting Dave, as was his usual nature.

"I have no idea what you mean, nosy Beta Enoch," Dave retorted quickly and began eating.
