Chapter 16: A plaything

Aurora was convinced that Damien was a sadist. She worked in the kitchen, not the cleaning department.

"Alpha, I can arrange for someone in charge to clean your room," she suggested, bowing her head slightly before meeting his gaze with a forced smile.

"I would have sought their help if I needed it. I want you to do it," Damien insisted.

"But I work in the kitchen. I know nothing about cleaning," Aurora protested against his order. Why was he so difficult to please?

"Thank you for the information. Just make sure it sparkles," he insisted.

"But it's..."

Theresa interrupted, cutting off Aurora's words. "Aurora, get going. Would you disobey your Alpha?" Theresa said, sparing her from further punishment, though she wondered why he was being so hard on her.
