Chapter 112: Chapter 112

Beckman comprehended the situation swiftly. "Understood. I'll take care of Whitebeard's body."

"Someone take the control of the ship! Don't get caught in this pull!" The redhead dashed towards the execution platform, simultaneously issuing orders to his comrades.

"Boss, rest assured. We can handle it."

....

"Damn it, my body won't budge! The pull is overpowering, immobilizing me completely."

"I don't want to meet my end like this.... not like this.

"I don't want to die."

"Help me. Help me..."

Unquestionably, these sentiments reverberated among the majority of the Marines present.

Having endured up to this point, nobody desired to meet their end in such a sudden manner.

Sengoku supported Garp, issuing orders to the other Marines.

"Everyone, stand your ground, defend yourself."

For a while, Marineford was plunged into chaos.

Most warships, corpses, and living beings alike were ensnared by the tremendous pull.

Marineford, a once-vibrant battlefield, was now a scene of desolation and destruction.

As Marineford disintegrated, its expanse dwindled, while above the sky, an enormous rock sphere took shape.

"Boom..."

"..."

After a period of time, Marineford ceased to exist—replaced only by that colossal rock sphere aloft, blocking out the sun.

A figure floated high above, standing on the massive floating rock that concealed the sky and cast its shadow upon the world below.

Beneath him, a plethora of warships bobbed on the waters - comprising of both pirates and marines on their respective ships.

Carnes gazed downward, his eyes locking onto the figure of the God's Knight, perched atop a ship marked with the symbol of the World Government.

"Today merely marks the commencement of the reception. Wait and see—I shall erase the holy land, Mariejois from the world. This is my resolve," Carnes declared.

"Carnes!!!" Garling's roar pierced the air.

Nevertheless, Carnes paid no heed to him, descending gracefully onto his own ship.

As he touched down, the fair skin on Carnes' body began to slough off in small sparks.

His state of the Sage of Six Paths, as if consumed by these sparks, disintegrated into particles that drifted away with the wind.

Carnes reverted to his original form; the transformation complete.

"I appreciate your efforts and hard work," he acknowledged.

"It's a great honor for us to serve you Lord Carnes, we are always at your service," Albedo leaned in, her voice gentle and respectful.

"Indeed, Captain," the other crew members nodded in unison, acknowledging their allegiance, they were all unanimous in agreement.

"Let us depart this place."

"Ya, Captain."

....

Carnes and his crew wasted no time lingering; their ship departing at breakneck speed.

The members of the God's Knight, too, wasted no time, they mirrored this swift departure, following suit as soon as Carnes had departed.

In less than a minute, the two formidable forces had vanished from sight.

Abruptly, just as relief began to settle among the survivors, a thunderous, furious cry pierced the air.

"!!!!"

On the the Red-Haired Pirates' ship, Red Force, Ace, his handcuffs recently unshackled, caught sight of the Blackbeard Pirates sneaking away from the sidelines.

The call caught Blackbeard's attention, causing him to turn his head towards the red-haired's ship.

At this time, he also had a depressed face. Originally, he had been waiting for the opportunity to execute his plan using Whitebeard's corpse.

But in the end, the opportunity never came, and also, he was almost nearly sucked into the rock ball hanging in the sky just now.

"Ze ha ha ha ha..."

Blackbeard's maniacal laughter echoed once again.

"It's you, Ace, long time no see.

How have you been?"

"Damn you despicable asshole!!"

Ace was about to jump at Blackbeard's ship, when he was suddenly pinned to the ground by the red hair.

"Release me, Shanks! That man, Teach, I have to kill him.

I need to avenge Pops and the entire Whitebeard Pirates," Ace's voice trembled with raw determination and anger.

Shanks met Ace's gaze with a somber expression, his voice weighted with concern.

"Calm down, Ace." The redhead continued with a gloomy face,

"If you continue this fight, it will only continue to increase casualties and more lives would be lost needlessly. What's crucial for now is to lay Whitebeard to rest with honor."

"Your focus now should be on honoring Whitebeard's legacy."

"Argh!"

Ace's frustration reverberated as his fists hammered against the ship's railing, the wood creaking in protest under his wrathful blows.

The loss of Whitebeard had dealt a staggering blow to Marco, it had shattered his spirit.

His voice carrying a tinge of innocence and vulnerability as he spoke.

"Ace, listen to Shanks."

"Ze ha ha ha ha..."

Amid the tension, Blackbeard's sinister laughter echoed, a stark contrast to the solemnity.

"So, Red head, see you next time."

Shanks remained silent; his gaze fixed on Blackbeard's retreating figure as it blended into the shadows.

Then, with a deliberate turn, Shanks shifted his attention to Sengoku's presence nearby.

However, before Shanks could voice his thoughts, Sengoku's stern voice cut through the air. "Depart and you can take Whitebeard's body."

With a subtle nod, Shanks turned gracefully. "Prepare to set sail!"

In that moment, a collective sigh of relief swept across the Marine soldiers who had been battling exhaustion on the ship's deck.

"We're safe… we've been saved!"

"It's finally come to an end. We've made it through."

"At last, the ordeal is behind us!"

"Victory! We've been spared."

"Amazing, we've really pulled through."

Despite the apparent relief, Sengoku's expression remained clouded with concern.

The reason was evident – for Garp still hung in jeopardy, his treatment still ongoing.

Garp's perseverance held the key.

If Garp faltered, everyone of Sengoku's former comrades would meet their demise, leaving him utterly alone.

"Garp… hold on, you can't leave me like Tsuru," Sengoku muttered fervently, akin to a plea to fate itself.
