Chapter 6: Sucess

A new round of fighting was about to erupt, shrouding the demon world in its law of chaos. Only the most powerful individuals could hope to escape the brutal hatching grounds. Alexander locked eyes with the four-eyed little demon, instantly understanding its intentions.

Realizing he had no chance to modify and perfect his abilities, Alexander cast a wary glance at his adversary. He swiftly activated the text function and began defining the revolver he had drawn in his mind. With a focused mind, he wrote down the defining attributes: [Guns], [Precision], [Infinite Ammo]!

In the heat of the moment, as Alexander completed the function definition during his brief standoff with the four-eyed demon, he hurriedly employed the puzzle function. He summoned the materials for the pistol, dragging them onto the main page, and placed the weapon in the hand of his self-portrait. He made a quick decision to save his progress.

The soul beam that had been floating beside Alexander vanished with a brush.

However, to his absolute embarrassment, the revolver he had envisioned did not materialize in his hand. Instead, the system sent him a reminder: "Insufficient souls. Current saving progress only 23% complete. You may cancel the save or modify the material."

"Not enough souls?" Alexander exclaimed in disbelief. His ambition had exceeded the limitations of what a single soul could bear. This unexpected turn left him momentarily stunned. Meanwhile, the four-eyed little demon let out an angry hiss, its eyes fixated on the vanished soul light group beside Alexander. The prey it was about to capture had vanished into thin air. Naturally, the demon grew infuriated.

The four-eyed demon, unable to perceive Alexander's system interface, believed that Alexander had somehow hidden his soul from sight. Filled with rage, it kicked the ground and lunged towards Alexander with a menacing charge.

The demon's larger size and weight gave it an advantage, and it quickly overwhelmed Alexander, knocking him to the ground. With its mouth wide open, the demon aimed to sink its teeth into Alexander's face.

But Alexander refused to succumb to such a fate. Reacting swiftly, he extended his hand and delivered a resounding slap to the side of the four-eyed demon's face, causing its head to snap sideways. However, in the midst of the chaotic exchange, Alexander's sharp claws left several bloody gashes on the demon's face.

"Oh!" the four-eyed demon cried out, blood streaming from its wounded visage. Enraged, it retaliated by slashing at Alexander with its own claws.

As newly hatched demons, their fighting techniques were limited. Their battle lacked any semblance of rules. They relied solely on their physical strength and razor-sharp teeth to engage in combat.

Despite Alexander's efforts, he found himself at a disadvantage against the stronger four-eyed demon. Each of the demon's attacks took a toll on Alexander. If his power could be rated at 14 by the system, the little demon's strength easily surpassed 20—far greater than his own.

Refusing to be defeated in such a manner, Alexander, pinned to the ground, spotted a momentary opening. With a surge of adrenaline, he executed a powerful upward kick, landing a direct hit to the four-eyed demon's groin, delivering a crucial blow. A weak click echoed in the air, indicating that Alexander had struck the demon's weak spot.

To his surprise, however, the critical damage he had anticipated failed to materialize. While the demon let out a howl from the impact, it remained combat-ready. Seizing the opportunity, it sunk its teeth into Alexander's shoulder.

Alexander, feeling the searing pain of the bite, tried to resist, but the four-eyed demon yanked away, tearing at his flesh. In that moment, Alexander felt a tingling sensation of paralysis spreading from the wound. He realized that the demon's saliva might be venomous—a startling revelation about the extraordinary abilities possessed by these creatures.

Growing increasingly powerless, Alexander knew he had to act swiftly. He gritted his teeth and summoned the system interface once again. With one hand desperately fending off the relentless attacks of the four-eyed demon, his other hand moved with lightning speed.

Alexander couldn't help but feel grateful that he had completed the illustration of his pistol before the onslaught began. Without it, he wouldn't have had the chance to modify it in the midst of the battle. And now, with a sense of urgency, he proceeded to make the necessary adjustments.

He understood that the reason for the previous failure was his inclusion of the attribute [infinite ammo], which exceeded the soul's capacity. Determined to rectify the situation, Alexander erased the definition of infinite ammo entirely. He even canceled the attribute of precision, opting instead for a more practical approach. His new definition: [full of bullets]!

With a renewed sense of purpose, Alexander initiated the saving process once more. In an instant, a cold object materialized in his right hand. Although Alexander knew the saving was successful this time, he couldn't contain his curiosity. His finger instinctively found the trigger, and he pressed the muzzle of the newly formed pistol against the abdomen of the rampaging four-eyed demon.

In the next second, a thunderous blast erupted, echoing through the battleground.
