Chapter 33: Ch.32 Despicable Passives

"Aaaaaah~ Aaaaaaaah~ " On the boat's deck, Rei could be seen laying down while opening all of his limbs wide apart. His mouth wide-open with dry tongue sticking out of it.
His cheek and eyes socket look sunken, one could see his facebone was much more prominent than usual. The sun was high, burning everything wherever its light passed.
Gone has his cool appearance, gone has his dignity. His current dishelved condition was really in contrast than the 'him' 2 weeks ago when he manhandled the infamous Pirate Hunter at the town.
Currently he was drifted by the wind and waves in the middle of nowhere, without any island at sight and most importantly, without water!
That's right, our Rei actualy forgot to resupply his water container on his small boat! Thinking about how his 'past-self' just left after the battle with Zoro at the previous town without even resupplying his provisions too boot!
The 'current' Rei wanted to tear his 'past-self' apart! What the use of leaving a "cool" image on Zoro and the gangs if in the end, he was here on the verge of dying because of dehydration?
"DAMN IT! YOU STUPID REI! WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? JUST LEAVING LIKE THAT WITHOUT EVEN &@**&$* @~* &$**@* $&& #&@**@ &#&#&#* @*@*&#&#*..."
After several tirade moments later, Rei stopped while huffing and puffing out of his lungs,
"Come on Rei, think...." Rei stood on all four trying so hard until his forehead bulging with vein.
'*phuaaaah....'
'Wham!'
Rei couldn't think any better solutions after using his brain, he let himself slumped down on the deck.
"Come on Rei, you're Ōtsutsuki! Try to remember just one jutsu! Just one water element jutsu! Come on!" Thought Rei,
"Huh?" Suddenly he sat down cross legged as if he got an ephipany!
'SLAP!'
"Thats right! Suijinheki! It handseals are only tiger, snake, and tiger! How could i forget that?" Exclaimed Rei after he slapped his forehead.
He once saw the handseals sequence within anime when the 2nd Hokage battle with 3rd Hokage after he was being ressurected by Orochimaru.
Just as he wanted to perform the technique, Rei paused and tried to feels his current chakra reserves first.
"Huh? Only that much left?" He smiled wryly as he felt his chakra reserves were in the red.
「Chakra : 27.09/1574,97」
Rei actualy didn't need to see his own stats if he wanted to know his chakra reserves, he could feel it by himself. Even if the system panel shows up, Rei was sure that was the current exact number it would shown to him.
As for why it was so low? It couldn't be helped, as Rei hasn't drink any water since last week! His body began to use chakra to preserves all of his organs from deteriorating.
And the chakra consumptions actualy got more massive by the time when there was no liquid to consume! And it also even exceeded his passive ability to absorb the surrounding nature chakra!
That was why, Rei had gotten more and more frustrated with each passing day!
"Whatever! I'll try to conjure Suijinheki first!" Rei threw all his cautions to the wind, he couldn't think any other options after all!
In the non-water environment (the point here's "nonwater environment"). Suijinheki technique would gather the water molecule in the air around the users, then ones could shoot the 'gathered water' from inside the mouth until finaly conjured a water shield for protection.
Note that it wasn't actualy the users saliva! The question regarding why it was coming from the users mouth actualy because compared to the rest of chakra 'accupoint' within human body.The mouth 'accupoint' has bigger and easier chakra 'release' spot for the users technique.
Thats why most technique such "Gōkakyu no Jutsu" of Uchiha's or "Dai bakusui shoha" of Kisame's require the users to 'shoot' it out of their mouth.
"Come on Rei, you can do it! 'The Origin' makes you able to use any jutsu and with passive 'increase jutsu mastery', surely it won't be hard to conjure 3 seals water technique! right?" Mumbled Rei while closing his eyes, seemingly convincing himself.
'Breath in'
'Breath out'
With trained movements, Rei weaved his hand together!
'Tiger! Snake! Tiger!'
Rei suddenly opened his eyes! then he exclaimed, "Suiton! Suijin Heki!"
In instant he brought two of his hands close to his mouth and blowing out anything that might appeared from inside. And yet unfortunately,
'SPLAAAAAASH!'
Suddenly, huge water pillars made out of seawater spouted all around his boat, protecting its conjurer in the middle.
「Ding! Congratulations, you have learned (B) Suiton : Suijinheki. You got 10 G-Points, current G-pts : 101」
What Rei felt right now wasn't excitement nor delight, but dread! Indeed, Rei felt dreadful all over even though he had succesfully conjured the water pillar all around the boat because of his technique!
The reason why he got "failed succesfully" was due to how his current inability to control the chakra with much finer details, the desperate Rei only knew Suijinheki technique's handseals sequence!
He however, didn't know about the chakra control required to release it. So in his desperation, he just recklessly released his chakra all around him and hope for the best!
Thanks to his title "The Origin" and passive "Increase Jutsu Mastery", he was able to "succesfully" release the technique even if the technique failed to delivers his desired result.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? WHAT THE USE OF MY PASSIVE THEN?" Rei shouted out of rage.
Indeed, his 2 overpowered passive abilities has huge help for Rei development until now. Ōtsutsuki bloodline however doesn't come with "perfect chakra control" passive ability much to his dismay!
Meaning, why should the beings like Kaguya or Hagoromo with chakra reserves as humongous as those of celestial bodies need to control their chakra? They could just spamming their abilities to heart desires without having to worry about chakra reserves.
And so in Rei's case, due to his inability to control a much finer chakra, his 2 passives actualy become his obstacles!
When he release the technique, it was true "The Origin" made it easier for him to conjure the technique.
And most importantly yet most unfortunately, due to his still lacking of chakra control, his passive "Increase Jutsu Mastery" actualy decided which way Rei could use the technique in most effective manners!
And if you ask what's the most effective ways for 'water element' technique being used in the environment with abundance of water? Of course the most efficient ways was for it to use the already existing water. In this case, the seawater!
Rei gritted his teeth feeling indignant, then he tried once again, Rei spread his chakra recklessly and weaved his hands.
'Tiger! Snake! Tiger!'
"Suiton : Suijinheki!"
'SPLAAAASH!'
Eyes wide open, Rei was truly in disbelief as his 'Suijinheki' used the seawater surroundings the boats once again!
"Fucking impossible! I controled the chakra to gather inside my mouth! HOW WAS IT STILL FAILED?!"
Up until this point, Rei could actualy control his chakra. However, if he couldn't control it to the extent of 'molecular' level, no matter how many times he tried, it would still be useless!
The Passive ability would still find a way for him to use the technique in most effective manners! Unless his current location change to those without water.
"AGAIN!"
'SPLAAAASH!'
"BULSHIT! AGAIN!"
