"I'm assuming you're already aware of how unlucky you are to be born with black hair and eyes, so I won't bother trying to tell you to look at the bright side seeing as our kind doesn't have much time anyway."

When Marcus heard the end of Ava's statement, his ear's perked up and he became intrigued by the hint at new knowledge Ava was sharing.

"What do you mean we don't have much time," Marcus questioned.

A pin drop silence occurred that caused even Marcus to feel somewhat uncomfortable. After all, everyone present, excluding Ava and Alcryst were staring at Marcus with slight surprise.

"You don't know," Cyril questioned with a bewildered expression on his face.

Marcus turned his head to Cyril as a clear indication that he didn't know whatever it was Ava was speaking about. Though before Cyril could divulge anything, his sister intervened.

"Hush Cyril."

Upon hearing this, Cyril turned to face Ava.
