Chapter 124: Restrained

While the duo of Ava and Alcryst removed the bodies whilst chatting and reminiscing about the past, Marcus still hadn't moved an inch from where he stood.

"Hm."

Even after seeing the portal open before, Marcus was still intrigued by how such a thing was possible. The wound above his forehead, that he'd received in his earlier battle with the guards had now closed and the blood that flowed from it had also dried. This allowed Marcus to very clearly see what was in front of him.

The lavender colored portal that now lie before him gave off a beautiful luminescent glow. The few shadows near it were forced to retreat due to its radiance. On the other hand, such radiance wasn't warm in nature at all, as he felt the cold air the mysterious portal let off.

 And as Marcus stood still while continuously gazing upon the purple door way, Cyril seemed to finally be fed up with just standing still, as he urged Marcus forward.
