Chapter 123: Reminisce

As Marcus was pondering his current situation and possible predicament, Ava had stepped to the side to walk towards Alcyrst. The young man had stopped somewhere along the way and now stood over the corpse of the mage Marcus had blinded and drained all life from.

He noticed Ava's approach, but didn't take his eyes off of the corpse below him. Ava also seemed to be of the same mind as she also didn't bother speaking and joined in observing the corpse before them.

It didn't take long though before the two faced one another with complicated expressions decorating their features. After all, they knew the identity of the corpse before them.

It belonged to a member of one of the royal families of Uceris...
