Chapter 101: Ill-fated Crow

For awhile, silence reigned within the camp and the light of day was quickly waning as the sun had nearly set and the shadows within the forest seemed to grow with every passing second.

Normally, such a thing wouldn't warrant ones attention, but Marcus made sure to keep a keen eye on them as he awaited Aramin's reply. Though it wasn't Aramin who spoke first.

"You've got a lot of nerve for someone who's questioning the benevolence of the person that's saved them twice over," Thirteen responded in a chilly tone.

The previous embarrassed act she'd put on earlier was now nowhere in sight and her appearance leaned more towards a beautifully-dangerous porcelain doll than the innocent young woman she portrayed earlier. The darkness surrounding the young woman also began to wrap around her like a second layer of skin as even her eyes were beginning to be covered in an all encompassing darkness.
