Chapter 70: Chamber (4)

Right after the proposal, the crowd cheered for the newly engaged couple.

Frederick kindly led Lucia to sit and offered her water. He attentively picked out food for her to eat. He was careful with his movements, always keeping an eye out for Lucia, who was exhausted after the dance.

The party went on for two more hours before it concluded. Late at night, the guests made their way out of the mansion.

Lawrence and Kevin had their eyes on Lucia the entire time.

"Should we steal it?" Kevin proposed.

Lawrence shook his head. "No, we can't."

Kevin's ears perked up. He was confident he could. Or, more like, his mouse could definitely sneak up to Lucia and steal the necklace.

Lawrence could tell what he was thinking and smiled helplessly.

"I don't think the game will allow us to steal it now. Remember the instructions earlier? To survive the night, we have to find the Jadeite necklace."
