Gu Jiao woke up to find herself lying in a room that was both strange and familiar; strange because it was definitely not her western room, nor was it a courtyard in the Medical Hall.
Familiar because it seemed she had been here before.
"Awake?"
A lukewarm female voice came from the direction of the windowsill.
Gu Jiao turned her head and saw Princess Xinyang, dressed in plain clothes, practicing calligraphy by the window.
Gu Jiao remembered.
This was Princess Xinyang's room.
So, was she now in the mansion on Vermilion Bird Avenue?
But why was she here? She had no recollection whatsoever.
Princess Xinyang finished a piece of calligraphy, put it aside with satisfaction, and took another sheet to continue: "Long Yi picked you up and insisted on placing you in my bed."
Her tone was unmistakably annoyed.
She used the word "picked up," which suggested Long Yi acted on his own, not at the behest of Princess Xinyang.
