Rant about Cao Cao's character
Just gotta explain some things in my fic relating the character of the MC
I find it funny that his heroic goal is classified as cringe and boring to others. My answer is why? It's not like he's portraying himself as a someone who has a boner for justice.
I based his character out of my own thoughts and how the original Cao Cao thinks. If you didn't read the OG DxD (can't blame you) Cao Cao has a horrible childhood, raised in poverty, sell to traffickers,force to fend for himself in a young age whether it's humans, monsters or devils, and when he came back to his village, his parents are already dead and the cause was that they hung themselves. (I can sort of understand why he wants genocide now though the way he said it is for the sake of justice which makes it retarded)
hell even his name Cao Cao, the main reason why he uses it is because Sun Wukong said that it's a hero's name. for him who was alone in the world, that Hero is the only thing that inspires him to achieve things.
MC is also in a similar situation, and in a way his is more complicated due to the fact that he lost his old world and his parents (they were decent to him). him wanting to save others is not because of his heroism but sympathy. I remember someone asking why he didn't free the others in Tepes Castle and that's exactly the reason, he isn't a hero but only took the identity of one, he wants to save but has awareness that not everyone can be saved. I don't know about you but if you hate your life right now, then no wonder you'll judge that kind of characters because honestly, the main reason why we want to go to other world is because our life either suck or it's boring, something that MC didn't have and therefore still misses his but doesn't show it cause he already accepted it.
just like the OG Cao Cao, MC also believes in fate and some things are meant to happen.
anyways, sorry for the rant, I just want to make it clear for those readers out there that was commenting in my fic, which makes them in my eyes, a brain dead.
what do you want MC to do? be an edgy harem seeker that have the other heroine's panties dropped the moment they saw him?
He's a human, not a supernatural being so he's not obligated to follow their laws and in turn, he's not preaching his.
this fic won't be the same bs that Issei did (basically plot armor and kindness) to get girls.
unlike OG where's Issei's goal is to be a harem king, MC's goal is to see the limits of humanity. There's a vast difference and how the story would go.
for the readers thinking that this will be like the other DxD fanfics where MC have some brainwashing/bs charisma to rizz girls into his bed then I'm saying that you should stop reading now as you'll just be disappointed.
I'm not saying there won't be romance or harem (this is DxD so that's kinda hard and I do like seeing romantic interactions, when they are done right of course) but don't expect that MC will be fucking Grayfia and cuck Sirzechs in the first 50 chapters, that's just unrealistic and some of you may found it bs.
anyways, that's basically the rant. I'm just making it clear so you won't be "disappointed"
